Reported on NFLN that Steinbach just had an emergency appendectomy and will be out 6 weeks. I wonder how long the staff infection will have him out?

Does anyone really care about the Brownies?
Not good man? Yea there are a few Browns fans and they're die hard. It's easy to be a fan of a team that makes the playoffs every year. Browns fans are regarded as the best fans in the world and have been patiently waiting for good things and they deserve a better fate than what's been dealt them thusfar.

Just S's and G's. No harm meant (hence the wink on the original post). And I realize they are die hard fans, as my cousin is one of them.

Browns fans are regarded as the best fans in the world....
Can't say I've ever heard that one before, although anyone who lives within 200 miles of the Wisconsin state line will have to listen to people with bullhorns talking about how the Packers and their beloved Holy Trinity are ACTUALLY the "best fans in the world".... :goodposting: Brownies fans though? Yep. They deserve 100% better than they've gotten for a long time.Best fans in the world? That title belongs to people who are religious about their high school and college sports. Fans of professional sports teams aren't even in the same area code as die-hard high school/college sports fans IMHO....but whatever floats people's boats, I guess.

The staff infection won't clear up till Cowher arrives next year.

Offensive lineman Eric Steinbach underwent an appendectomy Wednesday at the Cleveland Clinic and was released from the hospital Thursday. The Browns say he will make a full recovery and be ready for June minicamp.

It's staph infection by the way. Although I won't argue that they have a staff infection as well....
I know. I was being funny. Maybe not that funny.
LOL, whooosh! I missed that.

Split'in brownies aren't you? Seriously, there have been reports that Browns fans are amung the most loyal of all professional sports. So no I wasn't thinking college considering this was an NFL discussion so sorry for the confusion. Guess I should've used NFL instead of world. But then again, what other team(s) do you know that have gotten worse performance than Browns and still sellout every game?

Yeah, I'm not meaning to "dawg" the Brownies at all. Rather, I just HATE the phrase "best fans in the world." One of the worst, most over-used phrases in the history of sports. "Best fans in the world" also is one of those "centric" phrases as well....as I can think of a few billion soccer fans outside of the United States who might just give the Browns....Packers or any of the few hundred professional sports teams on the North American continent a run for their money. :ph34r:But I digress.

Browns have Loyal Fanslook half way down- Loyal fans

appendectomy? I don't know. He probably walked out of the Cleveland training facility with one of their complementary staph infections.

Hey some of my best friends are Browns fans ;)

Just kidding, I dont know any Browns Fans

Ok, Ok, Ok that sounded funnier in my head than it reads.

Dear Eric Steinbach,

Welcome to Cleveland! I hope you'll be enjoying your stay at the Cleveland Clinic, one of the finest medical facilities in the world. We will be in contact with you shortly to make sure you have the best care possible.

Sincerely,

Staphylococcus Aureus

Man, I bet he doesn't step near the Browns training facility until he is completely healed. Something is not right at that place, and it's only a matter of time before their players refuse to rehab injuries there.

:fishing: Wow. Some quality material in this thread.

Love the Pet Semetary analogy. It really is true, they came back but they just weren't the same Minniefield/Maxie/Mack/Kosar type team they were before. Those teams always had some intangible ~ especially at home. These Browns just seem to be missing that something extra.

They need Browns vets who know the tradition of that town maybe. :goodposting:

Maybe a witchdoctor..........
