Stephen King's The Mist... (1 Viewer)

It is just such a cluster what they are doing to this show.

i am a huge fan of this story and I was really skeptical how you could turn such a short novella into a weekly series, but I was all in due to the subject matter.

i expected a lot of filler and character development and they have done a fair job of doing this in the first 5-6 shows. The mom is sort of hot in a weird  kind of way. I don't get the fact why they included the "f" word in every episode, but yet it gets bleeped out. But what is supposed to be the central driving force behind the show??? The Monsters in the Mist and this show is screwing that up!!!

(Now I am not going to mess around with spoiler tags but I won't give specifics away)

All they had to do was follow the King story-line: people trapped inside places (except in this show we have many people trapped in many places), monsters outside that come from a dimensional rip that want to kill you. Each week introduce a new monster or find a new way to kill people with already introduced monsters and you have an enjoyable show. BUT NOooooo....they decide to make the Mist be like some paranormal thing "that knows you".  When the one guy is describing how he was attacked by the three kids (except he said they didn't look like normal kids) and they whispered a secret no one knew about him, I literally almost threw my remote. Give me a spider the size of a German shepherd that shoots acid webs (like in the book) and all is well.

It is a supposed to be a monster movie. It is like they wanted to get clever and remake King Kong but this time we will make Kong a sad grizzly bear or a really big lion who is displaced because of global warming or whatever.

Just freaking maddening!!

Just watched this over the past few weeks.  It was........not good.   Terrible ending, like they expected a 2nd season.

At least the movie "dared to be different" with the ending.

I have as much interest in watching the series as I did the From Dusk Till Dawn series, none.
