Started off really strong but faded just as fast.   Was really expecting things to escalate. Maybe not full blown amputation, but somewhere in the neighborhood.  

Thought it was okay. It had some interesting moments, but it is way too long.

I'm holding out hope his foot is like a hydra and in place of the one he will grow two, leaving him with three fully formed feet and a damn fine sideshow living in his retirement years.

An unusual self-reflective moment:

Several days after the injury, and I find myself angry at my shoes. Now they are certainly not my most favorite pair of shoes. But they were decent... have enjoyed my time in them. And I am angry at them. I don't know if I will be able to wear them again. They have betrayed me. And now they are highly associated with a very negative experience. I no longer trust them.

The few times in recent days, that my eyes have settled on those shoes... I give them the stink-eye.

I was able to put in several hours playing the new Legend of Zelda. Took me a looong time to figure out the controls and the overall objective of the game. But is was super fun! Highly recommend.

Ha! Had to tear out the old rotten wood perimeter surrounding the soil. Am going to reinforce the new garden with some landscape stones. Obviously I was unable to complete that task last week.
