today's news said the bills are working on a contract with Steve Johnson.

i haven't seen news that he is holding out, but he is also my first buffalo bill and i know little about the situation.

is he good to start this first week, or is a no-go?

Locked and Loaded. Bills just trying to lock him up while they can, probably at a nice price/discount before he has another 1,000 yard season and his price tag goes up again. I'll be curious what the terms are on him.

Stevie is still on his rookie contract. He was a 7th round pick, so he's obviously waaaay underpaid. His contract is up after this season, but he's not a holdout risk & should get an extension sometime during the season.

The only thing that worries me about him is Flowers covering him this week.

Ya I agree, I'm keeping him on the bench because of Flowers too.

Just working on a contract extension. At this point, players can't leave to hold out without racking up HUGE fines and losing a year against their contract anyway.

Reports are that they're not that close right now. As a Bills fan, I'm hoping they get it done soon, because the price tag is just going to keep going up because Stevie is going to have a great year.
