Wouldn't matter if he was hurt or not this week as DeAngelo Hall has shut him down the last two times they played.

Well unlike all the other helpful posters in here so far, I care about Smith's status. Please update if there is any information.
I guess no news is good news. None of the major sites are even mentioning the injury.

Yeah but the fear of Smith gave the Panthers the win. He would've caught a long TD pass if Hall hadn't dragged him down from behind, sparking a 3 penalty drive for Hall that cost him 100K and the game and probably his career with Atlanta. Doesn't help us FF players, but he only needs one pass to go from one 10 yard catch to 85 yards and a TD.I think Smith has 1 catch in last 2 games vs. Hall

The last 3 times Carolina has played Atlanta:1. Smith had 1 catch, drew multiple penalties on Hall, which directly led to Carolina win (not great for fantasy, but Smith would've had a definite TD had he not been dragged down from behind by a burnt Hall).Yeah but the fear of Smith gave the Panthers the win. He would've caught a long TD pass if Hall hadn't dragged him down from behind, sparking a 3 penalty drive for Hall that cost him 100K and the game and probably his career with Atlanta. 2. Chris Weinke threw exactly 7 passes in a game (completed 3 passes for more than 1 yard) and Carolina still won.
3. Smith didn't play.
I don't think that if Matt Moore gets the nod he will be given the Weinke treatment, but if Smith has a poor day I'd be willing to bet it has much more to do with the QB than it does with an extremely overrated DeAngelo Hall.

Carr's taking this guy from unstopable to UNSTARTABLE"Steve Smith (hip contusion) got Wednesday off to rest, but isn't on the Panthers' Week 10 injury report.
The bruise isn't expected to keep him out of action against DeAngelo Hall and the Falcons. Smith is struggling, but should be in all fantasy lineups if Vinny Testaverde starts. Testaverde returned to practice on Wednesday."

Smith is probably waiting to see the outcome of the QB situation before determining how hurt he is.
If Carr is announced as starter, Smith's injury will be worse than expected and be forced to sit.
If Testeverde is QB, Smith will play thru any pain.
