Steven Jackson Will be a Top 5 RB Next Season (1 Viewer)

Coming back from injury he has been producing with about half the touches he would normally get. The Rams Online and the fact that they are constantly playing from behind is killing his value and his chance to be putting up huge #'s.

At the half in his last 6 games he has had 65 or more rushing yards and then gets killed in the second hald with limited touches other than the occasional screen pass.

He has shown he is every bit as good as he was last year...just not getting the touches or the help upfront he should be getting.

Before today, he was averaging 86 yards a game at a 4.2 per yard clip. In standard, non PPR scroring leagues he is averaging 13 pts a game. And he has been on fire the past month.

There are alot of ifs surrounding the Rams, starting with the HC.

As of right now, there is no doubt that he is a top 5 pick, not just RB for next season.

Let me say this. He will be top 5 if they

FIRE SCOTT LINEHAN

He could be a beast if they brought in a coach like Shotty.

He has exploded from his injury... a true stud. This talk of trading and drafting DMac is crazy... the Rams need the best lineman off the board.

Ok, a lot of us have SJax in the top 2-3, but given the fact that this is round 1 material its not like there's no room for discussion. Hell, even the Bloom and Lammey put Jackson at #6 in their mock earlier this week. I guarantee that there are people on this board that disagree with the OP. Why not wait and let them chime in before attacking a guy who agrees with you?

The list is about right, but do you really have barber that high? The guy just doesn't get enough carries to be first round material for me. To me, Parker goes on this list, and tier 3 is Barber, Bush, MJD, KJ, Jacobs. Grant and Graham are in between 2nd and 45th tier guys depending on situation.Maybe I'm over-thinking, but if Barber were to hit a TD drought of any kind he'd be a middle range RB2. I absolutely **love** :goodposting: the way this kid runs, but I'm not convinced that's a guarantee of fantasy success?

So you moved him down next year? This year he was #2.

I agree. We've seen Jackson's upside under Scott Linehan, and I don't know ANYONE that would be satisfied with a repeat of last year's 2334 yard, 16 TD debacle. And since coming back from injury this season, he's been held to a pathetic 125 yards and .86 TDs per game. That sort of pace would only land him with 2000 yards and 14 scores over a full season. As a Steven Jackson owner, I am outraged, *OUTRAGED* by the flagrant misuse of Jackson by Linehan. If Jackson only had a decent coach on his offense, he'd be averaging 3000 yards and 25 scores every season.Free Steven Jackson! Fire Scott Linehan! Viva la resistance!
