Entering week 9, just curious about how undefeated teams, or league bests are constructed. Post your team, or your leagues best, and general rules.

One of my leagues still has 2 perfect teams at 9-0, my team is one. It's a redraft (non-serpentine), 1 PPR, yardage, start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR/TE, 1Flex, 1K, 1D/ST. We must roster 2 QBs, 2Ks, and 2D/STs which sucks, but is what it is. League record after 21 years is 12 wins to start season.

MY team:

Cutler, Orton, Fitzpatrick, Mendy, Hillis, Best, Spiller, A. Johnson, R. White, Nicks, Gaffney, Amendola, Williams (Sea). Folk, Bryant, K.C., S.F.

Other (had two firsts, and two seconds):

Brady, Stafford, ADP, Law Firm, LT, Jacobs, McFadden, Megatron, Jennings, Fitzgerald, Rice Hernandez, Royal, Scobee, Hanson, Titans, Packers

We are in opposite divisions, and for the year, he has scored 5 more points than I, averaging 153 ppw. Head to head we would be 4-4 for the season. We meet in week 11 in our leagues second of three cross-divisional double headers.

Really would just like to see how other unbeatens are constructed. I think it will give some insight into some of the different drafting strategies. and how they have played out so far. Oviously, I went WR heavy. With his extra picks he spread it around, but also leaned on WR. Of course he had ADP in 1st, and could afford to focus on WR.

To your point, the record holder lost in Championship game that year.

Undefeated teams always lose in the playoffs so dont brag just yet nice team though :goodposting:
I certainly can vouch my experience on this. I had unbeaten streak up to week 12 until it went down in the drain (I had Peyton manning's record of 49 TDs, Shaun Alexander's hot streaks, and TO's honeymoon year with Eagles).

8-0 team drafted from 10 slot on Aug 29.

This is my team in our local redraft. Mostly the same owners for the last 8 years.

13 team high performance redraft. Start 1qb, 1-2 RB, 2-3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def. 18 roster spots, ppr for all, decimal point scoring.

I was lucky enough to get AP at #4 and I took Roddy with my 2nd. I don’t remember the exact order of the rest. Not only undefeated but #1 in total points by a large margin.

Kyle Orton

Jon Kitna (had Romo)

Ahmad Bradshaw

Reggie Bush

Darren McFadden

Adrian Peterson

Roddy White

Steve Smith CAR

Michael Crabtree

Jabar Gaffney

Dez Bryant

Mike Thomas

Lance Moore

Z. Miller OAK

K. Winslow

Succop (changed K’s multiple times)

Dolphins

Rams

I'm unbeaten in a 10 team non ppr, 1pt per 5yd auction league. Start 3rb, 2wr,

1te and a wr/Te flex.

It was an auction league and I decided to go rb heavy.

Team I had at the beginning;

Romo, Adp, foster, Moreno, Matthews, caddy, megatron, nicks, Knox, dez, Finley, and a load of idps.

My team now looks a bit like this,

Flacco, Fitzpatrick, Adp, foster, Matthews, d.brown, Moreno, ivory, nicks, megatron, Knox, garçon,

Bowe, Hernandez, moeaki. Idps (I reduced my idps on my bench)

10 team redraft IDP league

This is a pretty big play league with 10 points per TD. We pick 6 overall defenders with big plays also being worth 10 points. I had a really good auction at the begining of the season, and have since traded depth for studs.

Peyton Manning, Vince Young

Frank Gore, Ray Rice, Ahmad Bradshaw, Willis McGahee, Brandon Jacobs, Marion Barber

Miles Austin, Hakeem Nicks, Brandon Marshall. Devone Bess, Seattle Mike

Antonio Gates, Aaron Hernandez, Dustin Keller

Mason Crosby

Osi Umenyiora, Will Smith, Matt Shaughnessy, Terrell Suggs, Chris Long

Cameron Wake, Shaun Phillips, Lawrence Timmons, Calvin Pace

Patrick Chung, LaRon Landry, Dante Whitner, Leon Hall

Ok, then how about best in league teams? A lot of pre-season discussion goes into RBs first, best available, stock piling WR, must have stud QB, etc. Maybe I should have used different title, but I would like to see the successful teams from this year to get a feel for how they were drafted. Would be interesting to see if, for example, the stud QB theory is working.

if you're looking for lineup analysis, my guess is nicks or foster would be on a lot of these teams. huge boosts at lower adp

 The same team picks first in every round? What is that unfair in a redraft.

I guess you could say partial serpentine. 1st round dictated by worst to first order of finish, 2nd round is inverse. For the rest of draft, we draw for odd rounds, and inverse for even. For instance, I picked 1.8, 2.5(based on finish on league); 3.3, 4.10(blind draw for 3rd round, flipped for 4th) and so on. Been like that for 22 years now, and nobody complains.

Had 3 teams coming into today undefeated, all 3 could very well lose this weekend. It was fun while it lasted.

I am undefeated, but will likely sit Foster, Rodgers and Andre Johnson in the last week or 2 to make sure they are healthy for the playoffs.

I would bet almost all undefeated teams have Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson... orArian Foster. Guy in 1st in my league has ADP and Foster, rest of his team sucks but they just carry him.

It is kind of ridiculous how much of an advantage it is to get the first pick when almost every year theres a home run sitting there for you to take.

One of my teams will be 9-0 after this week. I have serious WR problems though. My RBs and Gates have been carrying me.

QB

Vick

Roethlisberger

RB

Foster

Turner

Hillis

Charles

WR

R. Moss

S. Moss

Mason

J. Jones

TE

Gates

K

Akers

DEF

Falcons

Titans

I picked up J. Jones and Mason just for this week. I'm hoping that another team will trade me a stud WR for one of my running backs. If not, I'll go with the Mosses next week and hope for some waiver wire love.
