Storage Wars on A&E TV (3 Viewers)

I don't care if the entire thing is fake because it is just entertainment to me. What I fin ironic is that Hester has always struck me as a little #####. His whining just confirms my impression. What a punk.

The biggest problem with this show is that Dave never loses. Sure, some times he loses money, but he never loses an auction. When someone else wins an auction, he was running the price up on them. When he wins an auction, whether it is a crap locker or not, he was showing them who's the boss or teaching them a lesson. Does he have editing rights to the interviews?

Not anymore.

The biggest problem with this show is that it's still going on and has spawned some god-awful imitations. I loved the first season or two, especially as Brandi's twins grew, but she so rarely shows them off, and I just can't stomach 30 minutes of the same canned lines anymore.

Like all these shows, when they make the show about the characters it loses its luster.
:goodposting: Hate it when shows become nothing but people arguing. Stopped watching American Chopper because it became less about the bikes and more about the Teutels. It's why I've come to prefer shows like American Pickers and Auction Kings over Storage Wars.

:goodposting: Always liked American Pickers. Pawn Stars is still pretty good, but the family storylines are pointless to me. Just show me if someone has something cool or if they got ripped off.

I'm liking Storage Wars NY much better than either of the others.

I wish they'd show some of those Pawn Stars items being sold, and how much profit(loss) the place makes on them.

I remember him in a few episodes but was this covered in any of the shows? In 2011, Balelo made headlines when he purchased a locker which contained a rare 1938 comic book, valued at $1 million, which had been stolen from Nicolas Cage a decade earlier. The comic was later returned to Cage, who auctioned it off himself soon after and pulled in a hefty $2 million off the sale. Last year it was announced that a movie would be made about the comic book heist called “Action No. 1.” The comedy is in development at Lionsgate

yea, caught one last week.Hey Chum is calling in sick...lets make a show about it.So the whole shows storyline is Chum calling in sick....and lets show some cool items being pawned in between. It's so forced and obvious.I don't know, I am not in the production business....I guess these shows have a longer shelf life by getting people to like the characters and develop story lines about them.

Agreed and it is stupid. Like the episode where they send Chum to pick up laundry so they can arrange a surprise birthday party. Why on earth would a crew be filming Chumley's trip to the cleaners?

I have a friend who purchased the whale tooth that was on an episode in 2010, I think he paid between $1200 to $1500 for it.

:goodposting:Took the original Storage Wars off the DVr, still like SW Texas though and I didn't to start. It helped taking that load mouth idiot broad off the show. I still like Pawn Stars but the side stories suck. This last week with the pennies was lame on so many levels. First Old Man claims he is saving them because they are the older pre-1983 pennies but you could clearly see a bunch of brand new ones on top of every bucket. Plus the Old Man can barely move but he is hiding 5 gallon buckets of pennies that have to way 100+ pounds in the back of a car. Yeah, good stuff producers.

What's worse is they were hand rolling them. Like they would waste 4 employee's time rolling pennies? Ugh.

Right because Rick isn't savvy enough to just take them to a bank and let them use a coin counter which is what they are going to do anyway if you bring them in rolls.

Yeah...he is terrible with that schtick.I don't mind the Texas version....there's just something about Mary that is hot (and its not her voice)...and Moe is funny as hell.

It's like a porn movie without the porn.

Guy on Storage goes "Hey it's a genie phone - those go for $200-$400". :lmao: $20 Buy it now on e-bay.I like they don't even any pretense of trying to make it seem realistic.-QG

HMFS

Auction Hunters throwing down the trim.

I kind of forgot (how I don't know) about Carolyn. But now they have added Elle.

I seriously got horny watching the last episode. :bag:
That show is entirely scripted, though. The "pawn shop" they run doesn't even exist, it's just a set. It pretty much says in the opening that it's a setup... "these are the stories of their best finds", i.e., it's all re-enactments.

Yep I know but I would still like to bang both of these broads.

Yeah I wanted to grab Carolyn by that little streak of purple in her hair and make her do nasty nasty things

I'm pretty certain she would like that.

Me too I just caught an episode the other night for the first time in months. Is it just me or did Brandi put on a few lbs? She seems bigger than I remember.

Long overdue.
SLB is always horny. How is that long overdue?
:goodposting: Although the last time a TV show made me horny was Cybil Sheppard on Moonlighting.
Yeah... had to lock my door for whack-a-mole during Moonlighting :D

Storage Wars drops 3 cast members

So it looks like Darrell and Dan and Laura Dotson are on the way out. How long until this show gets cancelled and they start a spin-off reality show starring Brandi and Jerrod?
Seems like more of a rumor than a legit story.
Yup...looking that way now.
It's a tricky thing. Will be clear soon enough if they did some episodes with a different auctioneer without Darrell. They fulfilled the contract according to the articles but did more episodes and didn't include them. It's all a mess anyway at this point. The lawsuit by Hester will be

Kind of strange watching the episodes with Mark knowing about his suicide -- particularly when cast members are making fun of him. You'd think they'd edit that out.
