**Streaming Defense** Weeks 14-16 FF Playoffs (2 Viewers)

I think Pitt will come out firing after being embarrassed last week and Ben always seems to play better at home. Also, Leveon being back should help the Steelers.
What's your assessment of what happened vs. Philly, then? You think PIT would bounce back at home if they were playing Philly again back-to-back?

Because again, I think KC is comparable.

I think the Steelers just had a really bad game. If they rematched, I would be shocked if the Steelers didn't put up 20+ points. Steelers have a very explosive offense.

So looks like everyone believes in the eagles. I think their schedule is like one of the worst. They only have bottom 8 offenses in like 2 games. Their best games were the first two so it seems like they won't be able to score as much in the future. Are you guys factoring that at all or you just believe in Eagles that much because of the steelers game?

anyone else thinking the bills are a good pickup? They have like 6 games with bottom  offenses and they look like a decent defense compared to the likes of like Tennessee and Washington etc.

Other than that, it looks like AFC south has the worst offenses so they have a lot of good games but which defense is the one to have? Jags, Colts, Titans, Texans without watts?

I'm not saying whether KC is a good play or not cause I really don't know but Big Ben typically plays much better at home than on the road, especially on prime time.

Worst?  How so?  The only games that scare me are @SEA and @CIN and those may not end up being that bad depending on injuries.  And all they've done so far is dominate each offense that's been put in front of them.  Good enough for me to expect good things ROS.

I'm done streaming.   Going to just pick up the NE D I dropped last week and roll with them the rest of the year.

I'm trotting that Dallas defense out there this week against a poor quarterback.

They do travel to San Fran... but I think their team momentum is going in the right direction and they will ride that this week.

The options left for me are awful. I can pick between the Chiefs and Jets. If Wilson doesn't play, I'd probably pick them but if he does, I think I'm rolling with KC.
The way the Seahawks are playing I have no problem playing Jets regardless of whether Wilson plays.

You had stated "Ended up grabbing the Jets over the Skins for this week and will roll with Philly ROS." but you had theteams wrong.  I was stating who they played this week.

You want an "and"?  Ok.  And how do you link them apples?

Ummm, I chose the Jets over the Skins from my waiver wire this week.  But since you asked, I like my apples in a pie and I never "link" them.

One of either Siemian or Prescott has to have a bad game finally.  Yeah they face weak opponents but they are on the road.  I just can't pick which one to go against.

I picked up the Lions for this week but with Ansah and Levy likely out I may need toswitch to the Cowboys as well.   The only other viable option is the Colts at Jacksonville.

:X

I'd drop the Lions. That's going to be a high scoring game, neither team can stop anyone. Let's put it this way: the HC said in his presser this week Brian Hoyer will be tough to contain. Brian Hoyer. #notmakingthisup

I actually like the 49ers better in that matchup, they're probably on your wire as well. The Cowboys don't generate enough pressure or turnovers IMO. The 49ers have generated 8 turnovers. They've got a tough one the following week in Zona, I could see them playing with a sense of desperation this week. Dez probably will not play.

Yeah the more I think of it the more that I agree the Lions have got to go.   What do you think about the Colts this week?  Bortles has been brutal with 6 picks and sacked 9 times.

11 turnovers between those two QBs. 35 picks in Bortles first two years and he's on pace for 32.

But i see this as a bounce back game for the Jags. The Colts enter Week 4 with the sixth-worst pass defense in the league, giving up 305.7 passing yards per game. Opposing quarterbacks have a rating of 101.8 against Indianapolis. I'd say it's more likely Jax puts heat on Luck than vice versa.

I figure BB will put on one of his 2nd half comebacks. This is the Jags fourth year in a row playing in London? Last year Bortles played like crap in the first half (they were leading due to 2 defensive TDs), threw a pick 6 in the 4th, but then pulled it out in the end. They need a big game out of Julius or Hurns because AR15 is getting too much attention.

Streaming defenses has worked well for me in the past but is killing me this year. Miami versus Cleveland almost gave me a stroke.

I grabbed Philly in a league that has very short benches and I am happy to take a zero this week to forever leave the streaming defense strategy and not look back. Good luck

All of us.

I'm back to the Jets for the third time in four weeks (streamed Bucs last week, worked out OK but not great.)

Not feeling good about it, but I figure my second best option is hoping Brees lame road splits continue.

Looks like it did  :P

I gotta believe Hoyer's going to do something Hoyer-istic.  Rolling with the Lions D for a week until Philly comes back.

Glad I won't have to make these kinds of decisions going forward.

I had MIA last week too and the final sack punch was them actually winning the game... would have liked to see them lose after underperforming.

I know they did ok, but i was expecting 40 sacks and 7 TD last week and they fell WAY short of that.

Same here. Taking the zero with Philly.

Feel same as everyone else in here.  I guess taking Bills ahead of Ravens this week.  Probably be wrong but Oakland offense scares me.

Just make sure to come in here and raise your hand when u make the wrong decision so we can laugh at you.
I have made mistakes two of three times streaming so far this season (Tenn, Balt, Mia).  Quitting the streaming idea and rolling Baltimore for the foreseeable future.

I'm rolling out SD this week at home vs the Saints.  I expect a few sacks and a couple turnovers from Brees and the Saints trying to play catch up in what should be a wild game.

Did you mention Cincy as an option before the game?  If you did nice call (i missed it in this thread).  If not, then telling us after the game is over doesn't help any of us  :P

Miami had a drop of what could have been a pick 6 last week. Plus they had a sack/fumble that got called back on a penalty. Kessler looked clueless early on, but Tannehil was equally clueless and that hurt field position.  I went with the Redskins this week.

Well ####. I meant to but I guess I ended up not. I'll show myself the door.

I was all set to roll with Washington but then my opponent this week dropped Houston (for Detroit!) and I scooped them up. If they have a good game this week against Tenn (and I think they didn't allow a TD in two games last year), I might even be able to package Houston in a trade next week once Philly is back.

Is PHI a top5 D ROS? What about HOU not that Watt is gone. Was streaming PHI but wondering if I should hold or swat HOU in another league for PHI.

:bye:  I rolled with Miami last week, I admit it. Goin right back to that well in Cleveland and using Washington this week. I'm sure it'll be an epic fail. Will return for ridicule when weekend is over.

I'm rolling with Washington in one league this week, but I thought this piece, by the Ringer's Danny Kelly, was worth mentioning (he's talking real-life football, not fantasy, but the point holds):

Browns (+7.5) at Redskins

Remind me why we think the Browns are historically terrible? Through three weeks, they’ve gotten run over by the Wentz Wagon (no shame there) and almost beat the Ravens and Dolphins. The Redskins, who were favored by 8 earlier this week, haven’t been favored by that much since October 2009 and haven’t covered a spread this high since — and I’m not making this up — Todd Collins led them to a win over the Cowboys in December 2007.

It’s usually safe to assume the Browns are bad, but they haven’t actually done anything on the field this season to justify sliding into the 2013 Jaguars’ role of comically large underdog in every game they play. The Browns came within inches of winning outright last week as 10-point underdogs to Miami! And though you wouldn’t know it from all the attention Terrelle Pryor got for seeing some time at QB in Week 3, rookie Cody Kessler posted the highest quarterback rating of any of the Browns’ three starters this year.

The Redskins D will be without:

CB-Breeland
CB-Phillips
S-Hall
DE-Reyes is likely out

CB-Norman has the flu and their sack leader LB-Trent Murphy is going to be a game time decision.

Thinking of looking elsewhere this week for a streaming D. Probably going with the Ravens.

Solid post for anyone contemplating the Skins.

I am starting the Jets this week, I do not fear Seattle currently. In fact I am starting them in 2 spots, and then snagging Philly to roll with the ROS barring a bad matchup or two.

I agree with 1-2 of the above posters about Seattle. Its not like it used to be.   (which probably means they will blowup for 50, but damn the defensive torpedoes, I'm rolling with the Jets anyway!)

 TZM

Dude in my league just dropped KC d.  Am I nuts or is he nuts for doing that?  I put in a waiver claim for them to pair up with philly defense ROW.

And 400 yards.

Why are the Ravens rated so highly on a lot of ranking sites?  The Raiders have only given up a couple sacks and Carr has committed no turnovers IRRC.
