**Streaming Defense** Weeks 14-16 FF Playoffs (1 Viewer)

Have Miami from last week and picked up Tennessee, Pittsburgh is still out there too.

So hard to decide and each week is a must-win from here on out!

I generally try to stay away from bad defenses, but I'm not sure I can pass up the Titans going against Matt Barkley. He's just so bad.

Had both KC earlier and been rolling with Phili who hasn't done diddly squat lately. TEN looks good this week, but long term? I am looking at NE's schedule ROS. Perhaps I may roll the dice on them.

TEN has a bye next week but then in the playoffs they face DEN & JAX so not a bad long term play either.

As I posted earlier Saints are my top pick as my Chiefs replacement this week but I'm also considering the Falcons vs. Arizona. Cardinals are bleeding fantasy points right now against opposing defenses but a lot of that obviously is a result of last week's ### whoopin handed to them by the Vikings. Also a bigger issue is Atlanta's D pretty much stinks and my league awards points for points allowed and I'm not sure the Falcons can keep Arizona (specifically David Johnson) out of the End Zone. So if I don't get the Saints in FAAB tonight I may end up sticking with the Chiefs and hoping for the best against Siemian on the road.

I would just stick with the Chiefs, they're a top DST and Denver isn't a scary offense.

In my experience playing bad defenses, even in great match ups, doesn't usually work out. Which is why I'm very hesitant to start the Titans, even though the matchup looks glorious. My .02

Chiefs are one of the top plays this week and should be for the rest of the year

Yeah that's what everyone thought last week and then they went out and played the game.

They definitely are a good defense and obviously Siemian is a struggling QB but they lost a lot of trust with me after last week. I'm still going to try and get the Saints tonight to replace them. I'm not dropping KC obviously but just a one-week replacement. If I don't get the Saints, I'll likely stick with KC and hope for the best. But going on the road to face a Broncos' offense with a lot of weapons (a helluva lot more than the Bucs have) isn't what I would call a plus matchup by any means, even with Siemian at QB.

Yeah I doubt I'll go after the Falcons. Saints, though, are intriguing. Their D has been playing better of late. They did a good job against the Panthers last week so I'm not sure I'd call them a bad defense any more. Maybe closer to marginal. Atlanta's? Yeah definitely bad.

One rule I have for streaming defenses is NEVER start a bad defense with a good matchup vs a good defense with a bad matchup. It rarely works out. Theres a reason the team is a bad defense. In the case above, KC is a good defense with a good matchup so its a no-brainer. Yeah it didnt work out the week before and may not work out this week but the odds favor KC.

Also should add my league awards points to team defenses for wins (victory points) so this is a rather huge component when selecting a defense each week and clearly is impacting my Chiefs decision this week. I'm not confident the Chiefs are going to go into Denver and get a win this week. I realize this is a unique rule for my league which is different than what most league use and it's greatly influencing my decision here.

The Saints are most definitely a bad defense.
Six sacks against Denver two weeks ago. Have their lowest projected home scoring game of the season vs. Goff this week. Bad defense or not they could easily be a Top 10 fantasy defense in Week 11.

You haven't been paying attention.
Really? What have I missed?

They're the 28th D/ST in my league scoring. They've let up more than 20 points in every game this year except week 2 against the Giants.

26th in yards against

30th in points against

They're not a bad defense?

Crazy week with so many choices. I have pats and Miami to hold on to thru the stretch run but teams like pitt and tenn out there I mite have to hold 3 Ds this week ugh

I can feel the pain in trying to pick a DST for this week and going forward.  I'm looking at grabbing either SD vs Hou. or TEN vc Chi for this week, and like both for the week 16 as SD plays @ Clevland and Ten is @ Jax. I'm looking to pair one of those DSTs with Houston who hosts JAX in week 15.  Which DST is better in week 16 SD vs @Cle or TEN vs @Jax.

Yep -- Barkley should be good for some bad throws and maybe a fumble.  Best chance for late turnovers from desperation, and I'm desperate too.
Yep, rolling with the Titans this week.

It makes sense on paper, but I still think defenses have a tougher time facing QBs that the team has little film to study tendencies, etc. the other factor is the Rams passing attempts have decreased drastically the past several weeks, so there are less turnovers and sacks to be had.

Three choices I am debating:

TEN @ CHI

NE @ NYJ

GB @ PHI

I generally prefer playing the home D/ST if I can. Yet, this time leaning to either TEN or NE. Also, I must be thinking ROS or at least streaming for weeks ahead. I see Dodds and Tremblay ranking NE just ahead of TEN and PHI way down the list this week. Will NE D/ST be as inspired as TEN?

I picked up Tennessee over NO.  I like both, but I think t I'd rather be facing Barkley than Goff.  And Tennessee generally has been the better defense all year and creates more turnovers.

Thought on SF?  Terrible scoring YTD, but look at their schedule weeks 13, 14, 16:

Wk 13  Chicago

WK 14  Jets

Wk 16 LA Rams

Just too bad of a DEF to take advantage, or might they be worth a pickup for 3 of the next 4 weeks?

Currently have Buffalo bills locked in. Although, Tenn Titans are sitting on my WW and i'm considering picking up the Titans and starting them.  I'm already chasing points after the debacle of R. Kelley!!!  Need a high ceiling/home run play to get back in this must win game for me!

Dropped NE for Tenn.

Going to pick up Hou to cover Tenn's bye then hold both for back-to-back match-ups with Jacksonville in weeks 15 & 16.

Bengals, Bills and Chargers are all available in one of my leagues.  They are Cleveland's opponents in weeks 14-16.  Am I crazy for thinking about scooping up all of them and riding the anti-CLE train through the playoffs?

No playmakers on defense and they get gouged in the running game, which limits opportunities for sacks and picks.  Stay away. Far away.

Is Tennessee def vs Barkley > Baltimore def vs a decimated & demoralized Cinci?

Another week playing catchup after a poor Thursday showing. I normally defer to a home defense with a low O/U (Baltimore), but knowing Barkley is going to be tossing the rock vs Tennessee might be too tough to pass up. 1 weekly waiver move left & cant afford to blow it.

The coin flip being the Bears homers have indicated their squad has cashed out while Cincinnati still has Dalton, Eifert and Hill, so might be some fight left in the Bengals.

Regardless, I'm going to get this wrong.

Anyone feeling the Eagle D this week? I know they play well at home and Rogers can make mistakes. I guess it comes down to pressure and a potential TD from the D or ST. Banking on a prime time home defense needing a win to stay in the WC hunt.

I am in the exact position. Home prime time defense against Packers versus playing NE or TEN on the road, which both are highly ranked this week. PHI is ranked way down the line, but I may just go contrarian as well. Rodgers is great, but also holds the ball too long sometimes and all it takes is one D/ST TD return, pick 6, or turnover. After much stewing I think I'll hold PHI at least for another week. Plus, having something to look forward to on MNF is always fun too!

I'm in the same place.

Right now I'm sticking with Baltimore. They always play the bengals hard, and are the home team compared to TN playing away.

Both games currently have the same O/U so the home team gets the tiebreaker for me.

Trying to decide between G-men and TEN!  Both appear to be great starts.
Me too.  Tough decision. I'm thinking with both guards out for Chicago too, Bears might have trouble running ball and protecting Barkley.  Should get some sacks from TEN.  McCown starts for Cleveland and sometimes he does well if he lasts the whole game.  Leaning toward TEN.

I need to decide to put a ww claim in for Cowboys, Pack or Jets.  Do not feel comfortable rolling out the Bills this week!!!

Any Eagles owners thinking of going back to streaming? They haven't looked great since Atlanta game (or really, since the Minnesota game). Cinci is a good match-up, though they haven't been nearly as good on the road.

Not a ton on the WW, so I think I'll give them one more week. But if they put up another stinker, it will be hard to trust them the following week vs. Washington.
