Things to check if you're having troubles...

Firewalls; third-party, Windows and internal in routers.

player is actually working for me just that channel wont connect...also just read that the game was suspended while the head ref called the league office or something, something about bubbles on the field and not being safe for the players...

Every channel is hosted by a different person. One more thing... I don't think there's an issue with popularity of the service effecting the bandwidth. I believe this service works similarly to the bittorrent protocol in that you are not only downloading, but also uploading. So while there are more people using bandwidth, they are also more people supplying bandwidth. So not an issue. Peer to peer 101.

 
last sunday at 6-7pm I tried the sopcast and was not able to get the seahawks game vs arizona... but i did ge the san diego game. On Sunday, the channels change names according to whats playing.... one may say "nfl game" and another may say"san diego chargers football" like it did last sunday..... better than nothing!

I find that the channels usually do not come online till about a half hour before gametime.

This was a great find...so far I have watched all of the Thursday night games, and the Patriots last Sunday (sort of wish I had missed that one! lol)

Just followed the easy instructions in this thread and I have sopcast up and running with the Cowboys game.

Thanks to all.

 
It's on Everything Cowboys.... but the quality is quite a bit crappier than that of the NFL Network channel the last couple of weeks

 
Yeah, the volume on 8215 sucks. I watched part of the pregame on it before the actual game came on in the Dallas area on UHF channel 21.

 
I'm getting nearly zero audio on 8215, probably why everyone switched to 12993. May have to watch the 8215 and stream the radio call.

 
If there's a lag on 12993, it may be a bunch of people just getting online. Once they get up to speed, it should improve. You see this effect when a game first comes online.

Does it seem like 12993 is more real time than 8215 or is it just me? 8215 seemed to be a couple plays behind than usual.

right hand button of the SopCast,

it will move the transmission to

the Windows Media Player, which

increases the broadcast quality.

speaking of broadcast quality... is it worse as it's ever been for everyone else?I normally make it full screen and it's pretty close to your average TV... but tonight it's almost barely watchable at fullscreen unless i sit across the room.

not complaining though... much better than nothing

well i have my pc hooked up to my big screen and it's not too great, but still watchable. doesn't seem any worse than other nights for me though.
 
WHOA!.... carefull if you are watching gamecenter and SOPcast at the same time.... comercial just came on gamecenter and nearly blew my speakers because they are blasting to hear Gumble and Co.

The volume is better on 12993. I hear it's back online.

:mellow: Same thing happened to me.I thought my Paradigms weregoing to take the house down.---------------------------------------------...the quality is the worst I've seen from SopCast tonight.

Just got on SopCast. Thanks! Quality isn't stunning and it's buffering a lot but it's better than the alternative (not seeing the game) Shoulda played Vick :goodposting:
