Feeling good - this will be the first time I make the finale (if I still make it) - makes me feel a heck of a lot better after going out in the first round one year (I think it was 2009).

183.4 + Romo (-0) + CAR D (-0) + Hauschka (-6) + Dez/Jeffrey (-18)

Wish I had invested the $5 in the live scoring app!
You should be locked in for at least 200. I can't imagine a scenario where that isn't good enough. Good job...hope to join you.

Well... we'll see what happens. Lost Peterson today which was huge for my squad. This may be the first week Stepfan Taylor counts as a RB. Pretty sad to go deep and then lose some key starters. Anyway, here's how we're looking:

169.15 + J. Graham (-4.3) and that's it.

I'll be curious for those of you that can tell the cut line to let the rest of us know where it is at. Thanks!

I'm at just 96.0, but I still have Romo, Forte, Dez and Olsen left to add to that, so there's still hope. Also the furthest I've ever gotten, but I may be a bit short...

Really need some big games from Romo, Dez and Graham. Sitting at 128 without them. Hoping for 60 between them to be in the 180s. Knowing my luck today - doubt that happens!

The GB-ATL game got flexed out of the Sunday night slot, so that is probably messing with the live scoring.

I'm at 171.65 + Romo (-13.15) + Graham (-7.9)...hope that'll be enough to get through to my first ever final 250!

Not looking good for me. 146.1 with Murray (-0) and witten (-12.2). Best case I might hit 170-175 not sure that's enough with more ridiculous Gordon and manning numbers!

So the cut looks like 156 now. Assume with tonight and tomorrow game it jumps a good amount. Anyone have a guess? Was thinking 25-30.

I am just over 200. I think it will be enough to make the Finals, 2 years in a row.

Thanks to all of you who make this thread the best thread in the Shark Pool every year. This year, I did not post, but I read it every week.

It's been a fun season, but I'm done. I'm at 160 (cut line is 169, assuming it's correct) with only Romo (-24) remaining. After a season of only having David Wilson as my only real injury, they finally caught up to me this week with Reggie Bush and Rashad Jennings killing me, along with poor games by Garcon and Shorts.

Congrats to those who made it to the final 250.

Done at 191.65, pretty thrilled to be able to nail that with my highest RB scoring 5.3 pts this week. Hoping Peterson's injury wasn't as bad as it looked. Without him I am toast.

Cutoff on fftools says 177.55 seems a bit hard to believe it is that high with monday night still to come...I know there were a lot of TDs scored this week....seems like last few weeks ff tools has under called prelim cuts by 5 points or so, so this has me worried!

At 181.7 with Forte (-13.2) and Miles Austin (-who are we kidding?). Can't tell if I'm in it or not, but if I'm not DON'T TELL ME.

An NFL record of TDs were scored this week by the end of the Sunday night game. Thus lending to the incredibly high cutoff line this week with MNF to go.

I am done at 187, so I am hoping for a low scoring game tonight.

Good luck all!

I am toast.....sitting with 130 with a lot of action tonight (Romo, Witten, Marshall), but I need them to score 90+ to have any chance to advancing. Possible but very unlikely.

Good luck to all

I'm at 189.8 and still have Demarco, Dez, Austin, and Gould going tonight. Should make the finals for the first time.

I did lose Gronk, which sucks. But I still have Fleener and Julius Thomas at TE.

Thank you Luck for finally showing up!!!

Does anyone know how I find out if I am Fanduel elg?

I signed up through Footballguys last year and then added $100 to my account on 10/3 of this year.

Looks like 187.85 is the cut.

I just missed out... 2 dropped TD catches by Panthers in the end did me in (didn't even need the TD just the reception yards). Kind of bummed about just missing the cut but happy that this is the farthest I made it in 3 years. I feel like I learned a lot about strategy in the contest this year and even applied most of the right strategies. Now just need to better pick a few players. Ended up with a down week on QBs and it killed me on this record TD setting week.

Good luck to everyone else in the forum.

Missed out by 15, which is better than .05. (Yes, that's happened to me once before in "normal" leagues.)

Furthest I've gotten so far after 8 years, so I can't hang my head. (If only I would have made it this far before THIS year when they changed the playoffs, when the finals were weeks 14-16...)

And I'm sure I'll score 280 next week.
<_<

Anyway, good luck to the folks who are still alive--you are the top 500 of a HUGE contest, and some of you will get rich. For free, basically, since you'd have signed up for FBG anyway!

Picked the wrong week to put up my worst score of the year. I thought the core of Russel Wilson, Reggie Bush, Sproles, Lacy, Calvin Johnson and Gronk was going to get me to the finals. My receivers under Megatron turned out to be the big weakness. Good luck to those who remain.

Finals! My roster with ownership numbers out of 250:

Russell Wilson (30) and Tony Romo (85) - early projections are low for both next week, but I think Wilson can have a big game in NY if the Giants keep the game competitive.

Charles (33), McCoy (105), Helu (33), J Bell (110) - lost Wilson long ago, but this group carried me into the finals. Bell scores a lot as a flex, and he could be in for a lot of work if Bush can't go next week. Helu's 4.3 counted for me in week 12, when I made the cut by 0.2 points.

C Johnson (29), Hartline (40), V Brown (60), Roberts (17), Wheaton (24), McCluster (33), Avant (29), Thompkins (189) - a very motley crew here, but they managed to cobble together enough in the few weeks when Calvin didn't come through (he has only counted in 9 of 14 weeks). Everyone has counted except Wheaton...so he'll come through with a few long TD this week, right?

Graham (77), J Thomas (150) - Back to counting on Thomas as a flex. Lost Dwayne Allen early, but Graham has been a monster all season.

Haushka (92), Crosby (26), Forbath (46)

Colts (16), Lions (46), Eagles (7)

Projected week 15 total from Tremblay's early numbers = 162.7. That would get murdered by Manning and Gordon owners...going to need a breakthrough from one of the QB to compete.

Wow. There are some sick teams left. Looks like the all studs strategy and pray for no injuries seems to be a good strategy for this contest.

Wow, not only did I make it, I made it by a very comfortable margin! Sitting at #34 with my highest score of the year at 225.85. Woohoo!

OK, so there is another issue to report.

Staffer James Brimacombe forgot to tell us that his entry was a staff entry. This entry made the final 250. So we had to go back and re-calculate the cut lines to account for the fact that he should not have been included, but was. Fortunately, the chaos was minimal and the news is only good. Here is the rundown....

In week 5, the removal of Brimacombe moved the cut and allowed three people "back" in. Due to ties, these three did not manage to alter any cut lines and they were "re"-eliminated in week 7, week 8, and week 10. In week 13, Brimacombe's absence allowed this entry, previously thought to have finished 501st, to move into the top 500. That entry then finished in the top 250 for week 14, so it essentially replaces Brimacombe.

Summary: Brimacombe's entry, known as eaglezzz, has been retroactively removed from consideration. Entry #110341, previously thought to be eliminated, is now back.

470th this week and gone. CJ/Gronk/Bush were the proverbial fork.

QB: Romo $15 / Vick $9 - Vick didn't hurt me. Having Manning this week would not have advanced me. Bought into the Romo value hype prior to the season. I had other combos in mind but they were more expensive and would not have helped. Very comfortable that 2 QBs is the way to go. Struggle with the byes this year when selecting which lead me towards Romo.

RB: Spiller $26 / Bush $23 / Lacy $16 / Hunter $6 / Bell $6 / Redman $5 - Lots of wasted cash here. Thought Spiller would be a nice boom / bust pick on a weekly basis, turned out to be a year long bust. Never used Redman, never need Hunter or Spiller.

WR: CJ $31 / Amendola $19 / Austin $15 / Brown $9 / Floyd $6 / Allen $4 / Thompkins $2 - CJ and Allen were the key to making it to the final 500. Lots of busts here. Used Austin early twice (didn't need him), once at 4.2 points. I had Gordon in many preseason itterations but dumped him for Austin when I decide to ride the Gronk train. I keyed on two passing offenses that seem to have value, NE and SD. Actually this worked out pretty well for me.

TE: Gronk $24 / Gates $14 / JT $2 - My flex came from here every week except for 3 even with Gronk out most of the season.

K: Had 3 (Brown, Haushka, Forbath), could have survived as long with 1. Had 6 weeks with 10 points or less which is amazingly bad for 3 kickers.

D: Sea / Car / Det - Sea only posted 4 double digit weeks. Car and Det also had 4 double digit weeks. Could have survived here with 1 defense this far.

All and all, not a bad effort. Trended down this year with the roster size in favor of more studs. I'll stay away from older players next year and those with an injury history. I can't imagine not having Graham on my roster next year.

#220 in the list... Glad to be back in the 250 again! Doubt I am going deep due to my horrible RB situation, but glad to be here regardless.

Here's the team and ownership percentages:

  • QB: Peyton Manning (52) / Michael Vick (98). Peyton has been solid all year. Vick counted only once early on when it didn't matter.
[*]RB: Adrian Peterson (12) / Lamar Miller (5) / Bryce Brown (5) / Bilal Powell (44) / Stepfan Taylor (9) / Ronnie Brown (3).
  • Talk about huge misses. Only Peterson and Powell have really been worth it from an investment standpoint. Miller has been hit and miss and has only had 4 weeks above double digits. I expected a lot more from a guy at $20+ salary. Brown never got the carries and it looks like Chip Kelly is intent to run McCoy into the ground. Other than that, roll the dice and that's whose scoring for me.
[*]WR: Andre Johnson (52) / Josh Gordon (119) / Justin Blackmon (22) / Brian Hartline (40) / Darrius Heyward-Bey (9) / Markus Wheaton (24) / Jason Avant (29) / Brandon Gibson (11) / Kenbrell Thompkins (190)
  • Solid strengths here. Miss on Blackmon and Wheaton, but AJ, Gordon, and Hartline have been solid. DHB, Avant, Gibson, and Thompkins served there purpose as cheap fill-ins.
[*]TE: Jimmy Graham (77) / Dwayne Allen (20) / David Ausberry (8) / Julius Thomas (151)
  • Solid strengths. Graham and Thomas have been exceptional. Lost Allen and Ausberry early, but glad I took 4 TEs here.
[*]PK: Greg Zuerlein (36) / Mason Crosby (26) / Kai Forbath (46)
  • Could have survived on 2 kickers, unless Forbath was one of my choices, then I would have been out. 2 vs. 3 kickers are a debate every year.
[*]TD: Detroit (46) / Tennessee (9) / Buffalo (23)
  • The 3 defenses worked great this year. The weeks 2 tanked, the 3rd one came through. Literally saved me at 3 different weeks this season. Definitely sticking with 3 defenses next year.
Somehow this team is averaging 180.29 a week. Hopefully AP comes back soon!

arruggh!! Got squeaked out week 11 by 0.45 pts. with no QB pts that week (had 4 on the roster). Got by last week and this week (by 0.2 pts). Can't stop myself from continuing to track this ...
200.2 this week, common story I know, but damn this is frustrating. Have Romo/McCoy/Charles/JBell/Dez/A Johnson/JThomas/JGraham

Ownership stats for players going tonight:

151 J Thomas*

60 V Brown*

52 P Manning

46 D Thomas

40 K Moreno

23 D Woodhead

21 A Gates

15 K Allen

13 M Prater

9 Chargers D

8 W Welker

Good work on seeing how that entry affected every week's cut line and re-inserting teams as appropriate. Your efforts at maintaining the integrity of this contest is applauded.

Mistakes happen, but great to see FBG's do the right thing.

Sorry guys for the "Eaglezzz" entry throwing things off for a bit there. Thanks to Doug for making things right. I have used that account for a few years now on FBG and simple just submitted a team at the start of the contest without letting Doug know about it. Best of Luck to the final 250 entries!
