185-ish. Not a great score compared to all the high ones, but considering Romo, TRich, Spiller, Calvin & Dez were all non-scorers for me this week, I'll take it. I tend to think those guys might score sometime down the line.

My 3 TE all scored over 30 points: J. Thomas, J. Cook, J. Cameron

But the total was only 198... my WR are going to hurt my chances.

208 for week 1 - good start but the Ridley/Wilson combo behind Shady will prove to be my demise. Hopefully Joique Bell stays involved enough to count.

In the meantime, the Kaepernick/Luck tandem should be deadly. Hopefully Hilton and Givens bounce back

247 for Week 1, too bad it doesn't matter. Went with 28 guys and overall pretty happy so far especially with Gordon, Ausberry and Dunbar not yet playing. Scorers for the week: Luck, McCoy, Reggie Bush, Joique Bell, Demaryius Thomas, Amendola, Cameron, Julius Thomas, Zuerlein, Rams. Like everyone had some clunkers as well with guys like Helu, Patterson and Wheaton in the first week.

Just trying to make sure my stats are accurate... I noticed the kickers were still using last years rule, I adjusted that this morning to reflect the appropriate scores.

For BAL Defense, FBG scored 5 points for them, I see 7 pts, 2 fumble recoveries and 3 sacks should be 7 points. Did I miss something?

I'm seeing the same. (2 fumble recoveries x 2 = 4) + (3sacks x 1 = 3) = 7

Looks like Dallas is off as well. FBG has 23 for them and I have 25 when it looks like they should have 27 - (3 fumble recoveries x 2 = 6)+(2 defensive TD's x 6 = 12) + (3 int X 2 = 6) + (3 sacks x 1 =3) = 27...

So there's one team in the top 10 (entry 100855) without Peyton Manning. Honestly didn't think there would be one.

Players looking like major values (<$10 and >20 pts) include:

Julius Thomas ($2, 28%, 30.5 pts)

Michael Vick ($9, 43%, 29.55 pts)

Brian Hartline ($9, 16%, 26.4 pts)

Kellen Winslow Jr. ($4, 1.4%, 24.4 pts)

Joique Bell ($6, 18%, 26.2 pts)

Leonard Hankerson ($2, 4%, 25 pts)

Those were found just looking over the top teams this week.

Kickers and Defenses were all over the map, which I guess is to be expected.

It would be great to be able to query against score/ownership %/cost like we can query against teams. OC - is that something you'd be willing to implement? I know it would make my decision to donate an easy one (don't get me wrong, prolly going to anyhow).

It looks like it's going to be an interesting year. Right now if there's any larger theme I am taking away from the standings it's that I didn't spend enough on the Tight End position. Lots and lots of production coming out of that position at the flex slot.

Put up 240 something, but have big issues at WR. I went with the studs, small roster and I am already having second thoughts.

(assuming FBG scores are correct):

Vereen going down is going to kill me on cutoffs. I am hoping my trio of TEs Vernon, Cameron, and Thomas can get me 30pts each every week.

Now that I'm actually thinking about the game, the two fumbles were Welker's muffed punt and the Leon Lett play. Maybe one of those doesn't actually count in the scoring system?

Good point. I wonder if that's it..... I sent Turk an email about it earlier, we'll see what he comes back with!

Done at 226.35

On to week 2 :pickle:

Not loving my RBs so much :/

Scorers: Vick, Lacy, Powell, D Thomas, A Johnson, Cook, J Thomas, Winslow, Hauschka, Washington

Feel good about QB, TE, and WR - worst of my 10 WR's was Givens at 4.7. Half the battle is finding WRs that actually are getting targets.

-QG
 Turk says I have 224.35

Anyway tied for 1899th. Not bad.

-QG

TE core is the highlight of my team.

Vernon Davis - 30.80
Jared Cook - 36.60
Julius Thomas - 30.50

Scored 196 despite having MJD/Spiller/Trich do virtually nothing. Lacy outscored all three of them.

Brees / Vick - Performed about what I expected, still think Vick gets hurt and missed 2-3 games this year. Hopefully after week 7.

Ray Rice / David Wilson / Cj Spiller - All that money spent on RBs. Woops. And I thought it was gonna be my wr core that would be my weakest.

Bryant / Boldin / Wayne / Hartline / Hankerson / Thompkins / Hopkins - The perfect storm, no way they all produce like that again

Davis / Celek / Thomas - Feeling good about my TEs atm

Kickers and Defenses all sucked.

Feeling better about my team this year than I did last year at this point. Bring on week 2!

well we are all moving on. so that percentile will still vary for now.

6 dollars on bell looks great right now.

my receivers will need a lot of work going forward though. hopefully once gordon comes back it will help..

witten

davis

and thomas were big boy flexing this week at te though

Luck / EJ - I'm liking this combo so far. Considered going with a Kaep / Vick combo, but I think saving my money will be worth it.

Spiller / Forte / MJD / Wilson / Polk - Terrible week. Figured Forte and MJD would give me consistent production, and Spiller / Wilson could have explosive weeks. Looked bad, but I still like the group. I had Bush on almost every version of my team but... oh well.

Green / D. Thomas / Andre Johnson / Thompkins - Though none share bye weeks, I'll be worried when each of their bye weeks come along. GREAT first week, but paper thin.

Witten / Gonzo / J. Thomas - These guys will probably carry me every week. They should be a strong core at tight end and maybe a flex or two every time.

Hauschka / Brown - Whatever

Bills / Titans - Underrated defenses with a great combined schedule. Looking good.

234.70 first week, good for a top 1000 finish. Running backs under-performed but WRs over-performed. I like my balance with the TE base.

Kind of wish I upgraded from MJD to Bush, downgraded from Wilson to someone else (Lacy?) and upgraded from Polk to Joique Bell.

WEEK 1: 240.20

QB : Kaepernick/Wilson/Schaub : A
Feeling very strong here. Kaep looks to play out of his mind. Wilson will have his big games. Schaub looked great once he got going last night as well. Overall I think I can fairly safely pencil in a 28-30 point performance from one each week.

RB: Spiller / Forte / Bush / Lacy / Polk : B+
Very happy here as well. Spiller was game-planned for by NE, not worried. Forte should be a workhorse. Bush is a freak as long as healthy. Lacy looks to be the first GB bellcow in a while. Finally Polk could start seeing time in this PHI offense at some point. I'm comfortable here.

WR: Amendola / Austin / Boldin / V Brown / Lafell / Kerley / Washington / Thompkins : B- / C+

Amendola already being dinged makes me nervous, but he looked great on the field. Austin should be solid, esp with Dez already dinged. Boldin looked like a freak Brown/Lafell both should improve. Kerley/Washington will contribute a few weeks if I make a run. Thompkins provides a nice "Safety" for Amendola being injured. Should get two 15+ point performances each week here. Maybe 3.

TE: Cameron / Allen / Thomas : A-
Very happy here. Should post strong double digit performances weekly.

PK: Crosby / Forbath / Brown : B
3 Kickers provides some stability in the random world of kickers. not a great week (7pts from brown) but hoping for double digit points from one guy a week.

DEF: Browns / Titans / Bills : C+
The only thing keeping this from being worse is the Bills cakewalk schedule. These guys all compliment each other. Hoping for a double digit score out of one per week.

It will take some luck on the health side of things wtih Bush/Amendola and will require Spiller/Forte to earn their salary.... but this team has the POTENTIAL to make a little bit of a run. Will see....

As may have been noted, this week's high scorer will need to be lucky as nuts to survive Week 9.
I'd say Week 1 high scorer has as good if not a better chance of surviving week 9 as the 800th scorer... or 1058th scorer... or 2004th scorer. Isolating any particular week 1 ranking's probability of surviving week 9 is going to produce a very small number.

So I used only $100 worth of players to post my score this week. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing

-QG
I'd say a good thing, my starters cost $125 for 166.65 points, if you did as well or better point wise by spending less and assuming your big money starters had an off week you should have some good depth.
Depth is one way to put it. Waste is what QG is worried about. Winning team is either going to be insanely lucky on their value, or they will not have wasted their big dollars.

Peyton Manning $23

Andrew Luck $16

Christian Ponder $7

Adrian Peterson $37

Eddie Lacy $16

Daryl Richardson $15

BenJarvus Green-Ellis $14

Toby Gerhart $6

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Demaryius Thomas $24

T.Y. Hilton $14

Michael Floyd $11

Chris Givens $10

Golden Tate $10

Dexter McCluster $3

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kyle Rudolph $17

Tyler Eifert $7

Anthony Fasano $2

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blair Walsh $5

Steve Hauschka $3

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seattle Seahawks $6

Tampa Bay Buccaneers $4

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is my roster, I'm already having buyer's remorse over Ponder and Green-Ellis....Oh well.

Can anybody give me some encouragement to keep me away from the edge of the cliff?
Ok, it could have been better, but I'm easing back away from the cliff just a bit. Green-Ellis may work out ok for a bye week replacement.
Now, I'm worried....just found out I'm the only team with the 4 RB combo of Peterson, Lacy, Richardson and Green-Ellis.

Sharing any 4-man combo is already looking slim, and sharing the same 4 RBs even less so. If the Law Firm can make even the slightest noise, you might be set, you never know!

Have a look at the roster. HTH.
Dalton, Martin, Forte, Fred Jackson, Green, Givens, Moss, Cook and Miller. No defense as well.

All of those guys will have to be healthy and have good weeks at the same time.

I have the same TE's and 198, but in my case it's RB's (Wilson, Bernard and Lacy) that need to get going.

Gotcha. Yeah I hadn't looked at the roster. I just figured it was the typical "Team is peaking too early and statistics say that #1 overall only has a 8.1% chance of making it past week 9" or whatever.

That's a pretty bad job of building a team there. Gllll .

1214 teams with Vereen. At $18 that's a contest killer.

Bush/Bell looks like a steal for $29... 643 with that combo.
