Does anybody else think Polamalu is NOT having a good game? The guy's been great but he's been pretty neutralized tonight, doncha think. That's what I mean about those great Steelers DBs.... they are overrated.

Every week, thanks.Watch game much? That's what I mean about those great Steelers DBs.... they are overrated.
What I don't understand is that most companies spend money to make a NEW commercial for the Superbowl. They should have tabled it before it got this far. That isn't a new commercial.yeah that one was a bit odd...lol...And creepiest commercial of the SB goes to Hummer...
No they aren't, they get tested a lot though because teams can't really run on them. That wasn't a CB coverage mistake. That was a zone defense where Polamalu was late getting over, partly because of a pick. But those picks are run on every play down there, so it's perfectly legit. That's what I mean about those great Steelers DBs.... they are overrated.
Troy is the only one who is not... but even he has lapses in coverage.Does anybody else think Polamalu is NOT having a good game? The guy's been great but he's been pretty neutralized tonight, doncha think. That's what I mean about those great Steelers DBs.... they are overrated.
Isn't he banged up? i thought I heard something about it earlier in the week...Does anybody else think Polamalu is NOT having a good game? The guy's been great but he's been pretty neutralized tonight, doncha think. That's what I mean about those great Steelers DBs.... they are overrated.
Just checking.Guess you think the overrated Steeler DBs include Polamalu.Every week, thanks.Watch game much? That's what I mean about those great Steelers DBs.... they are overrated.
Very true. Polamalu would have been better off standing his ground and letting the receiver run into him, forcing the officials to make a call (which, of course, would have gone in Pitt's favorThat was actually a well executed pick play.Hah...Stevens almost dropped it.
). As it was, he just let Stevens go.specific to Stevens?Didn't think so - but thanks for your input -You know there's a game thread for this, right?
He's right. Pitt relies on its blitz packages which have been quite effective to this point in the season. The DBs don't have to cover long. Today Hasselbeck has time and his receivers are open. They are simply dropping balls. I wouldn't go so far as to say they are being "exposed", but they are not the strong point of the Pitt DWatch game much? That's what I mean about those great Steelers DBs.... they are overrated.

hereNo, see that's the problem they played man when they should have shifted to zone. Brain farts will kill you in games like this.No they aren't, they get tested a lot though because teams can't really run on them. That wasn't a CB coverage mistake. Which Steelers' defensive player is really playing well today? They haven't gotten pressure on Hasselbeck, and they can't cover Seattle's WRs. Seattle shooting themselves in the foot over and over again is the reason they haven't been successful.Does anybody else think Polamalu is NOT having a good game? Brain farts is a killer that must be stopped in our time - before it kills someone! No, see that's the problem they played man when they should have shifted to zone. Not me. I can't stand that loudmouth and I hope Stevens wins the mouth battle AND the field battle. 1 TD vs 1 tackle= StevensEven though Stevens caught the TD, I still think its hilarious that he got used by Stevens on a key running play.
I hope Porter shows up and makes a play. He's a quality player and I would hate to see him end up as a punch line.
They weren't gimmies by any means. I put more blame on the inability of Seattle to close their drives than on Brown for missing2 missed fgs are going to haunt the seahawks
Nope, but these kinds of threads have been closed all year long. Just a friendly heads up.specific to Stevens?Didn't think so - but thanks for your input -You know there's a game thread for this, right?![]()
Yep. Just good posting the part where he recognized it was Polamalu's assignment and not the "poor PIT DB's".Agree with the points you've made since the first post.Do you guys know the difference between zone and man?No they aren't, they get tested a lot though because teams can't really run on them. That wasn't a CB coverage mistake. WHYAS OF RIGHT NOW!!!! WHO IS THE MVP???
Hines.

Yes.Jackson was man on man against a CB. Stevens was on Polamalu, who was responsible for the deep zone. Stevens just happened to run into Polamalu's zone, but he couldn't get over.Do you guys know the difference between zone and man?No they aren't, they get tested a lot though because teams can't really run on them. That wasn't a CB coverage mistake. They played man on a crossing rt. Natural progresion of reads says peal off you're man and swtich to zone. You will get picked every time if you don't. That was a lapse in coverage. If you guys don't want to see that, fine. He is right, they SHOULD have palyed zone. They did not and got beat because of it. I just hope it doesn't happen again.Yep. I'm wondering that at well. Been throwing it twice as far as necessary. Just get the dang first downs!!!What's with the deep throws by Hasselbeck to WRs just because of one-on-one situations? It's not like his receivers aren't open over the middle.

Awful throw on 3rd down. :X

Yes. The Hawks are beating themselves.Edit: Hasselbeck looks great. He's the best player out there today.Hmm I missed that punt....was it the returners fault for letting it go?
If the Steelers had a QB this game would be over already
they wouldn't be here without Roethlisberger
