Super Bowl XLIII Game Thread - Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Arizona Cardina (2 Viewers)

How the hell is that not intentional grounding? He's dead in the middle of the pocket.
"the pocket" is between the tackles at the start off the play, not in the middle of the hash marks.
The hash marks are 5 yards wide. Even when they line up on one hash the tackle on the opposite side is within a yard of the other hash. No matter where the ball is before the play, the middle of the hash marks is between the tackles. Just take a look on any play, like right now.
John and Al just showed you what I mean.

No need to look now, they just diagramed it. That second non-grounding penalty clearly shows that the first one WAS grounding. They were on the right hash, they drew the diagram of the tackles, and the middle of the hashes was well within it.

two terrible calls on this drivecromartie face maskdansby roughing the QBlet them earn the championship.
make that three...run over the holder! are you kidding me. I've never heard that before in my life.I'm starting to think the Seahawk fans have a point.refs are a joke!

Gonna complain about that call too?
It never should have gotten that far.Even Al Michaels has made multiple cracks about Mike Holmgren having flashbacks, an obvious indication that Pittsburgh is getting favorable calls in this one, just like they did three years ago. You have to be blind or stupid not to see it.

Somebody should check on the ref's family. I have a feeling they are in danger.

Any Steeler fan worth their salt will truly admit gift 3pts and keeping the entire 3rd Qtr away from the cards.

pathetic.

Yes we ####### are.NFL is going to be a two-hand touch league before I die.
The rules are the rules, the refs can't decide they don't like the rules.
:lmao:Talking to you is like talking to a Hitler Youth circa 1943.
He ran over the holder. What part of that play did you miss?
You have an interesting interpretation of the word "ran over".

Roughing the holder was weak at best. He did hold up. Is the defender supposed to just take a nose dive to the ground? He's already got the kicker to avoid.

He ran through a defenseless player, after the kick. That is called 110% of the time.
:lmao:He didn't run through anything. He lost his balance and held up, gently holding back his momentum after tripping forward.

He's supposed to be under control. Can't believe people are actually questioning that call.
