Survivor Cagayan (1 Viewer)

Tony would be a much better player if he could just stop bragging about how clever he was.
:goodposting: Plus the.. Hey, BTW I lied to you all before, I am a cop.. and thinking people will see him as being honest now was just stupid..
agree. He's too proud of his accomplishments to keep it to himself. I don't know why he even told them he was a cop. What purpose does that serve? He might has well said "oh and I have an idol too, so suck on that biaches"
He's his own worst enemy.

Tony is definitely a cop who wanted to be a detective but has been passed over. Everything he does yells out "look how smart I am, they should have made me a detective!"

It's possible he realized the other cop would bring it up in the near future and thought that would make him look even worse.

Regarding spencer and the challenge, it is possible that the duel when spencer threw it in the air was the 2nd duel. They edit the challenges in whatever way they want.

Also, the "throw it in the air" strategy only works if you're significantly confident you can knock the other guy's down to the ground before yours hits. It's not that easy, and Woo was keeping his distance. You can't just throw yours up and then improvise something. Woo the totem perpendicular to the attacker makes it a very risky strategy for Spenser. Also, since you can't use your free hand to touch the totem, you can't really throw it really high.

I think he wanted to try it again but didn't get close enough to Woo, and lost his balance on his own before he had the chance.

Love how no one in here cares about Lindsay.
I miss Lindsay. She shouldn't have quit but she saw the writing on the wall I guess. But of her tribe would have stayed away from TC until the merge, she might have gotten a shot at joining another alliance.

Quitters sucks. I'm sure there's probably hundreds of people that'd kill to be in her shoes.

Seemed she really believed that if she had to spend one more minute with Trish she'd lose her poise and take her out.. Personally.. I was hoping for the very first :boxing: in Survivor history.. :kicksrock:

PROBST: One of the most enjoyable aspects of this season is its absolute unpredictability. People who are in control on day one of an episode are often on the outs by day three, and if they survive tribal they can be back on top ten hours later. The merge episode is fantastic. Huge moments. The immunity challenge will have you on the edge of your seat. Tribal. good luck figuring out who is going home. The game is that unpredictable. This season is going to continue to be a fun ride.

Lindsay just bumped Osten off the top of my worst quitters in Survivor history list.

She was a bully, once she lost her power she just gave up.

Regarding the Idols for Cagayan, I read this online, not sure I like this.

In Survivor: Cagayan, while the current format still applies during the tribal phase, a fourth Hidden Immunity Idol will be in play, which will be hidden at the merged tribe camp. The said idol may be used two ways, before the votes are read, or after the votes have been read.
Agreed. That is bad. No need to hide it at all. Get in with the bigger alliance and you are set.
dumbest rule change ever if so. Who would ever use it before then? This thing better have an expiration of about 2 weeks or its completely ridiculous
This has been a pretty good season so far. Hope this doesn't ruin it.

Nah. Her game was blown up and she didn't want to play no more. All that talk about her kid was window dressing the excuse.

I don't think she was really into it

She could have lasted to the merge and helped blow up her former tribe. Quitting was stupid.

"I don't want my child to see me wig out on someone, so instead I'm going to quit on my chance at a million dollars because I can't control my impulses. I think that's a much better lesson for my child."

Probst was way too easy on her. He should have raked her over the coals for quitting.

Yup/ It was a total taking your ball and going home scenario.

ANYTHING can happen post-merge. This has been proven time and time again.

I get that its a unique situation, so its easy for me to play couch survivor. But I'll NEVER understand how anyone on the show lets someone else annoying them influence their strategy. Like when they vote someone out because they just don't like them....what in the world is the point of that? If someone is so annoying that you just can't deal with them, I kinda think thats someone you want to hang around as a potential target.

Maybe I'm just a more level headed person than most (or again, maybe I just don't know what its like being cooped up on an island with a bunch of reality show contestants) but I just can't wrap my head around letting someone with a bad personality throw you off your game so badly. Its not like its a working environment where you're forced to deal with them. If you don't want to interact with someone, just ignore them. Lay on the beach, take a swim, eat some rice, do your share of the camp work, strategize with the people you want to work with and do your best at challenges. It really seems pretty simple to me.

Short of someone doing this all day, I honestly can't think of any scenario where not liking someone might cause me to even consider quitting the game.

Worse that the guy that quit last season? He has the lead by a mile having done it twice.

You're probably right, but the second time is on the producers. He NEVER should have been invited back to play.

Thinking about it, I agree, his second quitting was worse than Lindsay, but they knew what they were getting with Colton.

I hate seeing these people quit. It's ridiculous. They should forfeit their winnings and have to pay for their own transportation.

A couple have even quit and still made the jury. No way that should happen.

Yeah, her decision sits worse having quit one show before the merge. She would have made the merge and then flipped and got her revenge

Alexis is nice looking, but what a dim whit. Why on earth do you turn on your original tribe mate there? The other tribe gave the beauties a gift when they voted out Cliff. Keep your mouth shut and vote out the cop.

They were probably going to merge when they reached 11 so she might have gotten voted out if they had lost.

Good season so far. Seems above quota for number of peeps actually strategizing
Last season (blood vs water) and this season have both proven to be more interesting than the 10 straight seasons of "mostly new people, plus 2 or 3 guys who've played before".

I'm late to the party here, but I'm not a fan of people returning. I like when new people come in.

It's sad how quitters try to justify being quitters.

True, but definitely dumb not to keep going. She is annoying, but just ignore her. The thing with annoying people is that they tend to go away. LJ and Jeffra could easily be swayed away from a liar and a shemale.

Side note. Anyone seen the show Naked and Afraid on discovery channel? Its like a real life survivor. Makes the show look like a vacation.

Good episode in regards to the actual show, but it was terrible in regards to the losing of eye candy. 2 in one show. Alexis was top notch and Lindsay's body was ridiculous.

Alexis is dumb and her crying at the end was very fitting.

From rumors next season will be all new with a B/W theme and season 30 all star.
Was thinking 'Wow! Black vs white?!?!?!' til I remembered the blood vs water theme.

That would be something, in so may ways.
They did a black, vs white vs asian vs hispanic theme on Survivor Cook Islands back in 2006.
Yul dominated that one, right?
Yes, with the "Get out of Jail Free Card"

Yes. I think that was Ozzi's and Parvati's first season as well. He was in the finals if memory serves. I believe this was the first Survivor ever with 3 finalists.

I would have loved to see Cliff in the idol challenge. He could just hold the idol above his head and nobody would come close to it.
