Survivor Cagayan (1 Viewer)

Just throwing this out there as a possibility. My son reads message boards devoted to Survivor and there have been rumors throughout this season that there will be a final 2 instead of a final 3. If that is the case, that could affect how many TC's are left for Tony to use his idols.
Even so, based on the "final 3" comments last night they don't seem to know this at this point.

i don't get why everyone thinks Tony is so hated. This season has been all about people playing hard and blindsides, while there may be some who take it personally it seems a lot of them are going to respect the person who is actually playing.

Tony is making moves all over the place and not being a complete jerk like Russell Hantz was. I'm just not getting the feeling that he's some hated player. Those who he blindsided may not like how they got played, but before they got played they were on pretty good terms with him.

Now if he ends up against Tasha who is killing the immunity challenges he'll probably be in trouble, but even against Spencer i think he has a shot.

I hate this Idol more than anything else ever on Survivor, but it hasn't ruined the season yet. None of the other players know he has it.

As long as Tony keeps it a secret, it doesn't ruin it in my opinion. If he came out and showed it to everyone right now like i think he should, it would mess things up for sure.

I actually think Jefra was Tony's biggest threat at final tribal. She's basically alienated no one, seems nice, and is a pretty blonde. That combination beat Russell, and Tony is playing a similar style. However, Russell was hated by everyone for how he acted around camp. Tony doesn't seem to have the same issue. If anything, Kass is the most hated person around camp.

I think both Spencer and Tasha have a good chance against Tony, but if he's sitting up there with both I think he's the favorite. I don't see any scenario where Kass wins and Woo's chances are slim.

I don't think it is the fact that he is hated, but rather that his overall strategy will not be respected. He basically changes his mind based on paranoia, and I think that will cause other people to look for reasons to vote for someone else to win. If Spenser gets to the finals he will definitely bring up the fact that he used Tony's paranoia to stay in the game and get to the finals.

I think Tony will win if he is in the finals with Woo and Kass. I think Trish has a good chance to beat him as I think she will make a good case to the jury. I think Tasha or Spencer will win over Tony.

I hated Tony at first but now I am enjoying watching him. A good final 3 would be Tony, Spencer and Tash. Have you noticed the more weight Tash loses the bigger her breasts look.

It doesn't seem like it is that much of a bitter jury so far this year. I think everyone hates Kass but I would think Tony is in pretty good shape. Granted, I think he should have taking out Spencer as he is more of a threat in challenges and someone who could get votes if he makes it to the final 3. The previews for next week are laughable, exactly how does Kass and crew think they are going to take out Tony? I realize they don't know he has 2 idols but they do know he has one. While you can question some of Tony's moves, he has dominated game play this season and if he makes it to the final he should win easily.
If Spencer, or even Tash, make it to the final three, they are every bit as deserving as Tony IMO. Their tribe looked to be dead in the water a couple weeks into the season, and they've always been on the short side of the alliance numbers since idiot Kass screwed them because she got her feelings hurt. Tash has won three consecutive immunity challenges and Spencer has weaseled his way along multiple times when it looked like he was gone for sure. They would both be very deserving if they make it.

I agree, that's really too big of an advantage. And the questionable circumstances of Tony finding it make it even worse.

Just for me personally, his voice and personality are really grating after a while. And what drives me nuts every season is there is always a group of sheep who never wise up, team up and vote out the dominant player at all costs. They let that one player basically control their fate.

I wouldn't vote for Tony if I were on the jury. Too many of his moves were fueled by things other than good game play. I mean, if you blind side someone and the first thing you say afterwards is "Now I'm in trouble" what was the point of the blind side in the first place? I just think, like Russell, he likes to make moves. I'm not a fan of that strategy. I think Spencer and Tash have played very well and would vote for either over Tony in a heartbeat.

Agree with whoever said this season has been more enjoyable than most for a long time. My GF isn't normally a big fan but even she has said this season has been enjoyable to watch.

The biggest difference between Tony and Russell's first season is that Tony has been with the majority alliance. Russell was way on the outside that first season and made it to the finals.

I think you put this idol in at the beginning and make it so that it has to be used by the merge. Seems like it is almost a free pass to the finals.

Tony playing it horrible. He has the super idol and a regular idol. He is set. He should be setting his sights on jury votes and who he wants to go up against during that immunity challenge when he can't play the idols any longer.
:goodposting:

He obviously hasn't learned anything for a guy who supposedly is a huge fan of Survivor, by seeing how Russell Hantz fared. Russell played great both times and should have won, but didn't because he pissed everyone off the entire time.

Same thing will happen to Tony.

Tony controls who makes the final 4 with him. Question is who does he save?

Can't imagine he'd save Spencer as i'm 99.999999% sure if he makes the finals he wins.

Trish is the dolt you have to bring to the finals with you so I don't think you have to save her... yet in the previews it seems kass and her are about to go at it so he might feel the need to save her.

Woo hasn't played the game, but he is also liked by all so not sure you'd use it on him.

Would be a :wall: moment because I dislike her so much but could see him use it to save Kass since they both feel they can beat each other.

Kass is the least likable person I have ever seen on this show. At least with Hantz and Colton they were "acting like a Holes" for the cameras, to play up the villain role, Kass thinks she is a fan favorite, but she is just a hateful sad person who trashes everyone else without any humor. Am I the only one disgusted by her? Also I love how she made comments about wanted Tony for final 3 since no one will vote for him, she is probably the best Goat around, she is only one in game with zero chance of winning

Totally with you on this. I guarantee she thought she went through the entire taping under the impression that she was the white hat to Tony's Russell Hantz. Tony might be a guido mope from Jersey, but he is capable of being a charming, charismatic guy. Even though he's being kind of a #### at times during the game, he's probably an ok guy to be around in the real world (despite the fact that he's a cop)

Kass is basically a bitter old cat lady with a law degree. Morgan might be the most vapid person the show has ever seen, but her analysis of Kass was spot on. I absolutely despise her.

Can somebody explain to me how Spencer thought if Kass and Tasha voted for Trish, and Woo and Spencer voted for Tony they couldn't lose? Wouldn't Tony and Trish vote for Tasha and there would be a 3 way tie? Even if Tony played an idol, Trish and Tasha would be tied with two votes and there would be a re-vote, right?

The supposed new alliance kept repeating it and I was  They said either Tony or Trish would go home.

2 Tony

2 Trish

2 Tash

If Tony doesn't play the idol than the three sit out with Spencer, Kass and Woo voting for Tony to go home.

Or, if Tony plays his idol than he is safe, gets one vote, but those three above vote for Trish, thus Trish goes home.

Either way, those four don't lose. Great plan, poor execution due to Kass and Woo backing out.

Now, Spencer is the wild third. Do the four stay tight and get rid of Spencer and chew each other up at 4 or do one of the pairs try to bring Spencer into the fold to swing things? Kass and Woo are playing to lose if they bring Spencer with them because Tony will just play both idols (if he is able to do so) and save his pair. And, Tony and his partner will vote off one of the three while being safe.

Once again, Kass and Woo make a losing decision for their own games.

There is no upside to them teaming up with Tasha and Spencer, they can't beat them. Now Kass can't beat anyone, so it doesn't matter what she does. I actually think Woo has an outside shot of beating Tony due to being likeable.

That being said, I will be surprised if Tony doesn't win this game at this point.

Also Kass made the right choice with sticking with original alliance since Spencer and Tasha are FOR SURE beating any of the others if they get to the finals. As much as they hate Tony he is far more beatable in the endgame than those two. But none of Woo or Kass cozied up to Trish (as far as we saw) if they had they can control the final 5. This position was so simple, it was get out one of Tasha and Spencer and form a tight 3 and then pick off Spencer and Tony next two weeks, no need for animosity and causing problems which was what Kass was doing.

What a terrible final 3 if somehow it ends up being Woo, Trish and Kass. I guess that's the best way for Tony to lose if he gets voted out at 4. You'd end up with 3 players who don't deserve winning though.

50/50 between Woo and Trish. Either way it would be the worst winner ever. Really hoping Spencer goes on an immunity run, his game since being down to 3 brains has been nearly flawless, he weathered Kass flipping and always came up with great strategy to keep himself off the block.

Agree, very unlikable, but Colton will always be the most unlikable person in Survivor history to me.

At least Colton had some funny, snarky comments and tried playing the villain. Kass legitimately thinks she is funny and lovable, its so tough watching her without wishing her harm, lol.

Think Kass made the right decision too. Taking Trish and Tony is her best chance to win because she can't beat anyone else with the jury. Best case scenario is jury hates Tony and see's Trish as doing nothing. Trish not likeable either. Jury could easily hate Tony for turning on each of them as well as his good fortune of "finding" nearly all the idols. Also think Kass knows Tony would rather take her then nearly anyone else and she could align with Tony if he has to scramble if he loses that final immunity challenge.

Kass so unlikeable that Tony probably wins anyway.

So we have five left. It could be a final of two or three correct?

If it is a top three then:

Tony uses his idol then is vulnerable if he doesn't win the immunity challenge.

If it is top two then:

Tony can use each of his idols at the next two tribals and is then vulnerable if he doesn't win the last immunity challenge.

Is that where we stand?

:goodposting: by both.. She truly believes fans, and those in the camp like her and she is playing a great game. Just a down right nasty bitter wench. Really hoping she makes it to the finals so we can watch when she finds out she is disliked by most.

idols have to be used next week.. That's why I said above he controls who makes the final 4.. He can work with one of them by giving them the non-special idol and work a deal out that they stick together to the final 3.

At next weeks TC, if they turned on Tony, he plays the special Idol..

Hopefully next week it plays out that Spencer and Tony both survive. It would make the next Immunity challenge one of the best ever knowing which ever one loses goes home..

Tony/Trish/Woo final 3 would be gawdawful
Not nearly as bad as Kass/Trish/Woo.

Kass is terrible. I can't stand when she's on screen. Her smugness, it sucks. She wasn't this bad the first few episodes was she?
If Kass gets to the final three with Trish and Woo she absolutely deserve to win. She switched to that tribe because she thought she could beat them. And she's the only one of the three that actually plays the game.

Woo is a terrible actor. Why in heaven's name would you tell Tony that Spence is on board with voting out Tasha? Tony is too smart for that nonsense. Woo's facial expression when Tony said that doesn't make sense was priceless.

Same goes for Tasha though, really. She's been scrambling all game and Tony recognized that she is just giving up now that she didn't win the challenge? Dude is smart and very observant. She should have approached Tony with some strategy, maybe to get rid of Kass.. even if it was just cover. But she blew it.

It was nice to see Woo entertain those kids.

Totally agree. Kass thinks she is somehow exposing Tony as being this bad guy, but it is backfiring on her. I thought Tony was going to say "Kass, when you watch this show back you will see you are mistaken here and will owe me an apology.. but feel free to save it."

I don't see any scenario where Kass wins jury votes. I don't consider her flopping at nearly every vote a good strategy to play in the game. At least with Trish you know you have a loyal alliance member. Everyone can't be the alpha male and you need an alliance to advance and win.

The thing with Kass that gets me, besides her bitterness to others, is that she was complaining about Tony backstabbing her alliance in a couple of TCs... completely oblivious to the fact that she has done that very thing to Tash and Spence... twice.

:potkettle:

Tony is similar to Russell in that they have found idols without clues, are smart, and so on... and they are both very cocky in their game-play. Tony just can't resist telling everyone he has idols. Russell was similar. But I think Tony is slightly the better social player. Russell alienated just about everyone. I think he deserved to win but he was just too abrasive. I think Tony will have a great speech at the last TC for the jury and he will cement votes.

The only way I see him losing is if he doesn't win that final challenge (when he is out of idols) and the others simply don't take him to the finals. If Tony wasn't so cocky, and didn't flaunt his bag of tricks, in front of everyone, he could possibly walk to the final 2 or 3 regardless if he won or lost the last challenge. At least he could make a case for the winner of the last challenge to bring him along. Course he could probably do that anyway since he can lean on the idea that he's pissed off everyone.

Jefra and Morgan both looking lovely last night.
I wonder how much banging has happened over the years amongst the juries? I'm assuming tons. They're sequestered in a hotel, bored, alcohol is available...
Oh I know. Plus you throw in hotties like Jefra and Morgan, then you have someone like the girl cop (first jury member) who may feel like she wants to compete for affection from the likes of LJ and Jeremiah... recipe for sexcapades. I'm sure there is plenty of partying. Aren't all the contestants that are voted off sequestered as well, not just the jury? Maybe the jury is just at the "Ponderosa", but I thought they kept them all in country. I could be wrong.

If that is the case just going on this show and getting voted off first would be worth it for the free 30+ day vacation in the tropics.

I'm surprised some former cast member hasn't written a book about hotel orgy.

Tony is at risk in the last council because noone wants to sit next to him. He needs to leverage his two idols now to guarantee they take him to final 3.

Trish is a repulsive human being but I'm hoping she lays Kass out like she did the last person who dared to talk #### to her

Wonder if there is anything to the rumor of a Trish and Kass sex tape floating around. :shudder:

Since there is one more episode until the finale, I see a final two of Woo/Kass. Spencer gets voted out this week (nobody wants to have Spencer go to the finals). Trish gets voted out at 4, and Woo wins final immunity and takes

Kass over Tony because he can sell that he rode Tony's coattails until the end and then went to finals with the most unlikable person. Woo wins.

I wouldn't like it, but obviously I'd have to watch that.
