Survivor League Rule Change (1 Viewer)

After some discussion late last season I would like to make a small modification to the immunity rule. Currently when four teams are left, one has immunity and three teams compete for the final three slots where we go to two week scoring periods. I'm proposing that immunity weeks end ONE week earlier so that the final four will all compete for the last three spots. This would mean that the last chance to earn immunity would be when six teams remain and the immunity holder would be safe in the week when we go from five to four. Unless there's a major objection by a number of posters (majority), then consider this change effective for this year.

I would like it to be retroactive to this past season...I would have won WSL if that rule change had been made earlier.

Since I do not believe that I have ever held immunity during any week of any season this rule change will have little effect on my limited skill set...

Carry on and best of luck to those this rule change will impact!!

Agreed. The late season immunities were too powerful.

If it doesn't complicate things too much, I would also suggest an additional immunity for whomever the total points leader is from weeks 5 through 10. All too often dominant teams go down on by weeks. While this would mean two immunities several weeks, I think it would help balance these leagues just a little bit better, and wouldn't add too much administrative difficulty.

It's very rare that a total points leader gets eliminated

NO to immunity to the total points leader. If he dumps one week, he deserves to go just like everyone else.

Since you're talking rules - why is Week 17 included? That seems a bit out of the ordinary.
Because changing that would mean eliminating the two week periods for the 3 to 2 elimaination. We felt that enhanced the chances of the best team advancing. It also gives us something to follow in week 17 once most of our regular leagues are done. With the deep rosters one should be able to cover that issue. I honestly don't recall it having a huge impact decimating a team. In theory, if you're very talented, you can draft around this issue. :bag:

 Happened at least twice this year.Just a suggestion anyway ;)

I really just enjoy putting the best team together that I can.

I don't see how I can account for the rule change or no rule change.

I'm happy, whatever you want.

There is some strategy to trying to draft the most consistent escalating team plus driving up a week for immunity before an irreparable down week.

vs

the total points team (not necessarily the best team for this format.)

Week 17 traditional no-show low-show players can add or subtract value if you want to put that into your strategy. You do draft to make it to the final two, no?

At the end of the day I just like to learn from my mistakes trying to put together the most competitive team possible,

wherever I finish.
