I love Parker... as a change of pace back. If he does pepare better, and get a little stronger, I'll stick w/ him. So far, in the playoffs, he seems to go down w/ 1st contact (or sometimes the threat of contact). I've seen a very old QB play tougher in the playoffs than Parker. I believe Elway was his name, but a QB just the same. Put on some weight and work on the balance, or get Humes in the 3rd. I like Staley, but I agree he'll have to restructure or be let go. Rooney doesn't usually pay top $ for players past their primes, or in a part-time role.

2) For those of you pimping Parker, what makes you think that the Steelers are going to change more than a decade of coaching philosophy of pounding the ball with a bruiser?  Sure they changed it this year out of necessity, but will that happen next year?
more than a decade of coaching philosphy??? perhaps you don't remember the Amos Zeroue experiment. well, of course that didn't turn out too well ... but it did happen, or at least that's what the history books say.-orphan
What is your point with Zeroes?
my point is that you are wrong, and that the Steelers thought they had a different kind of back "non bruiser" as an everydown back before and they went with it. now, it didn't work, but it was a change in philosphy.-orphan
