T.J McDonald dynasty value (1 Viewer)

Just seeing what everyone's opinion is about his dynasty value. Is he a top 25 DB? I understand he's suspended 8 games but looking over the next 2-3 years. Have a free agent pick coming up and was wondering if it's worth taking a flyer on him for $1

Good question. I think it depends on your scoring setup, starting position requirements and roster size. If you're only starting 2 DBs (or 2 S), drop him. If you're scoring setup is the same for LBs and DBs, drop him. If you're starting 3 DBs and DBs have a scoring premium over LBs, and your roster size is 55+ then yeah, I'd consider keeping him.

However, let's be real. It's been three years since he was a good starting option, he was pretty much useless last season even though he played 16 games, he's suspended for 8 games this season, was only signed to a $1.6 million one year deal, and if he wins the starting gig in Miami he'll be playing next to Reshad Jones who will soak up tackles. So unless I'm missing something I'd say that his future as a high end IDP DB is looking dim, and considering the low value and replaceability of DBs your scoring setup must be quite favourable for DBs for it to make sense to waste roster space on him.

He is a DB.  Don't waste a roster spot at this point on a DB out for half the season.
