Troy Williamson, WR MINNews: The Vikings opened the season with WR Troy Williamson as their kick returner but indications are the team still has an interest in signing receiver Quincy Morgan to fill that role. Morgan's agent, Brian Overstreet, spoke to the Vikings as recently as Tuesday and a deal could get done this week now that the team no longer will be on the hook for Morgan's full base salary if he is cut. Williamson averaged 24.5 yards on four returns against the Redskins, including a long of 44 that set up a Ryan Longwell field goal, but he figures to spend the season as one of the Vikings' top receivers and could be spread thin by being asked to do both jobs.Analysis: This could be potentially great news for Fantasy owners. Williamson will be at less risk for injury if taken out of the kick returner role making his Fantasy value even worth more. He played well in Week 1 (77 yards) and expect more of the same from the receiver in Week 2 against the Panthers. He remains a decent low-end No. 3 or 4 Fantasy receiver or 'flex' player in most formats.
