Tackles for Loss (1 Viewer)

I use myfantasyleague.com and we are looking at adding the stat Tackle for Loss. I have a few questions so if anyone can shed some light on this I would appreciate it.

1. Does a sack also get credit for a tackle for loss?

2. Does a tackle for loss get credit for both that and a regular tackle?

I have tried to look around and find the answer, so if anyone can help...

1. Does a sack also get credit for a tackle for loss?

For the most part, but there are times, for whatever reason, they are not.

2. Does a tackle for loss get credit for both that and a regular tackle?

Yes.

Below is a NFL Gamebook from week 15. Miami LB Charlie Anderson (C Anderson) had one sack in the game, as you can see, he was credited with a sack, a solo, a TFL (Tackle for Loss), and a QBH (Quarterback Hit)

San Francisco 49ers At Miami Dolphins

A TFL isn't awarded on a sack and fumble.
