Take a tip, leave a tip; What are non-mainstream apps you'd recommend? (1 Viewer)

I'll start with:

Tunity - point your phone at any tv and it will find the corresponding audio stream and pipe it through your phone (and headphones). Perfect for watching sports in airport bars or for at home when wife or kids are sleeping.

Not sure how you define "mainstream", but for Sam's Club members, their "Scan & Go" app is a must.  Scan each item as you put it in the cart, hit the "checkout"  button and head to the exit.

that's awesome. wish Costco had this

Mobdro. Live streams of a crap ton of channels. But it's a third party app. Pretty nice for watching sports at work.

Waze is by far the best traffic/GPS app I've ever used in terms of accurately providing the best route.

Rome2rio - Enter a start and an endpoint and it will give you every option to get there from driving to all public transportation options including travel times and cost.  Great when travelling.

This thread made me want to come in here and talk about Tunity. I loved it when I first got it, but its gotten glitchy lately and I spend all my time trying to get it to work. I wish they offered a premium app that worked smoothly, I'd pay good money to have it, if it worked reliably
