Talk Tea To Me (1 Viewer)

Need to move away from coffee, drink too much of it and along with some health issues, its time to tone it down.

I still enjoy a hot drink, esp here in the winter, so I'm beginning to drink hot tea. Really all I have on hand is the generic Lipton tea bags and I'm getting through those, so figure its time to start branching out, but there is so much out there. So any Tea snobs care to share what they like?

I'd love to help -- I love tea, but I'm what you would call a Bud guy when it comes to tea.

Try Teavana. It's like Starbucks. They have tons of leaves. Then do research and branch out from there.

Here's a start. Definitely have had Twinings.

eta* And Starbucks is shutting down all Teavana stores. Guess they owned them. Nice while it lasted.

you probably want to look into looseleaf tea if you are getting serious, and either get a ingenuitea or some other tea strainer.

This is a good place if you want to order: https://www.capitalteas.com/

two leaves and a bud and traditional medicinals are pretty good for off-the-shelf bags.  yogi is also not too bad among the widely available.  i find lipton, bigelow and grocery brands to be not very good.

My wife blows  $ at David’s Tea . She hated teavana because of their hard push

We have a store here in Burlington, I hate going into it with her. Not my bag
You're in VT? Used to go to Burlington frequently to visit a friend. Got kicked out a bar for hollering about Communists. What's the bar again...eh, I forget. Nice little hamlet, though, or at least it feels that way. It's a city.

Yeah, but it's hers when you walk out. Get it?

Fortnum and mason. I get one box shipped across the pond every year for xmas. The list of people that have me add stuff to my order grows every year.

Queen anne is my favorite.

If i run out before the next order i like safari kenyan tea on amazon.
