Tampa Bay Bucs thread: back to back to back to back NFC South Champs (1 Viewer)

Got my tickets for Sunday. Excited!!! I feel like they could make a deep run or lose Sunday night. But they’re in the dance and with this offense they have a shot.
I can't disagree with anything you said. Tampa and Washington were evenly matched. Either team could have won the game tonight. I'm glad Washington did, I'm so used to them losing. Winning games like this hasn't seemed possible for us for years and years. So I'm happy as **** that we won but I do realize it was an even game either team could have won. So congrats to the Bucs for a good season and a good playoff game.

The last time I remember talking with you was in some old Tampa Bay/Washington topic about "defense and hard liquor" which we both were advocating.

Congrats. Got a hell of a qb.

Daniels is just a dynamic athlete. Couldn’t get him off the field. Nice gameplan from them to possess the ball and not expose their defense.

Quinn went for it all night. Bowles didn’t.

Feels like they gave that one away more than Washington beating them though.

I bet. No offense to Washington, they made plays. But that fumble after stopping them was a nut punch. Still had chances after that, but just can’t have that kind of catastrophic mistake.

Good season on the whole. The team overcame a lot to win the division again. Super fun offense. Should be strong again next year.

Losing sucks.

Obviously the fumble by Baker was the biggest momentum swing, and what most people will point to.

But can't help but point a big finger at Bucky just pulling up a couple yards short of the first to do some Trent Richardson dancing BS to try and cut back inside. He runs through that contact (he's in full stride and has all the momentum against the defender) and he makes that 1st down, maybe a 1st and goal.

Instead, we stall and settle for 3.

Weird play. First time all year they've looked out of sync on a play like that. They've honestly been so smooth all season long. Not sure if the ball was supposed to actually go to McMillan or that was the eye candy? Baker looked like he was trying to hand it off and then fake a pitch to Bucky though. I think McMillan just got there too early and the timing was off.

Baker is going to take the heat for it, but I'm not sure it's really his fault. Should have just eaten it.

Plenty of blame to go around.

Huge news keeping Coen. I was pretty bummed after the playoff loss but keeping Coen is a big one. They have a window to go pretty far these next few years.
How bad was the Bucs loss after watching Wash march into Detroit and win, many feel they have a strong shot to make the Super Bowl this week
If you lose to the team that reps the NFC in the Super Bowl, would take some of the sting off.
Bucs had their chances in that Playoff game

-Liam staying is huge, I guess we have to keep Bowles again in '25? What happens when they don't advance?
How long must the Bucs wait before it's obvious that Bowles limits their ceiling as the Head Coach?

Makes it worse. If Detroit had blown out the Skins you would figure your fate would have been the same. Now you say that should be us (realize the matchups would have been different in order).

They'll probably wait too long unless Liam staying can help Todd look at 4th down and end of game aggression more carefully this offseason.

Reports are Liam and his camp wanted Spytek to be his GM in Jacksonville, but the Jaguars Baalke'd
Does Spytek going to LV make you nervous or is Liam staying 100%?
Reportedly signed an extension here (with a nice raise I'm sure), but he can't be blocked if he's promoted. I'd say with this he's made the decision to put another year of great offense on his resume and open up his opportunities to get to the Ben Johnson level of covet.

As far as I know the Raiders never interviewed him?

BREAKING: The #Jaguars and Liam Coen are in “active negotiations” and barring anything unexpected, he will be the team’s next head coach, multiple sources tell @NFLonFOX.

A massive turn of events in Jacksonville.

Massive loss for the Bucs with a suspect Head Coach left looking for another OC, this would make 3 in 3 years or Baker's 3rd OC since he arrived in Tampa Bay?

Looks like Baalke was fired in Jacksonville for failing to sign Coen. And now Jacksonville will probably sign Coen.

Bucs returning entire starting offense and have signed Haasan Reddick for pass rush. I like it. A good draft now to address additional pass rush and secondary and I think we might be in good shape to battle Atlanta for the division.

Of course, the biggest concerns are going to be coaching this year. I felt like Todd slightly improved last year but still has a ways to go. The loss of Liam will likely hurt too.
