After last week's performance against ATL, how can you bench them against SF?

EDIT:

Also, why the continued low projections? I just don't get it.

I've noticed in return yard heavy leagues, TB is not ranked very well. My other option are the Bears, who consistantly project 13-15 pts higher every week. Therefore, as goes Hester, so goes the Bears. There's no way I'm starting them against the Pack in championship week... which of course means Hester will probably take 3 to the house, and Shawn Hill will throw 5 TDs.

Fingers crossed that TB play pans out.

Been going with Minny most of the year, and althought the Vikings matchup against the Skins is pretty good, as of right now Tampa is plugged into my lineup for this week.

 Im not making the same mistake 2 weeks in a row (now watch MIN def outscore TB def)

Shoulda been me, except I'm now in the consolation game after playing MN instead of TB last week. :goodposting:
...and you were on the same boat with us in regards to TB D/ST being a lock for the fantasy playoffs! The TB D/ST was THE reason I won two of my semifinal games.
I've got MN this week against the 49rs and then TB for weeks 15 and 16. Set, no second thoughts.

I was all set to do so...but then I watched Kyle Orton the other night...and GB is creeping back into my lineup I think.

I'm stuck with NE vs MIA. I did try and snag TB earlier to prevent another guy from getting them to no avail. He put up 51 with them last week against me but I still won. Whew!

I picked up TB for week 15 and they paid off. Otherwise I am putting GB back in the lineup. I just don't think you can overthink the poor matchup ATL presents this year.

Added TB off the wire 3 weeks ago and rode them to the championship. Hopefully they can put up another performance like last week. Anyone know if that was the most points scored by a D/ST all year? if not, who put up the best performance all season?

 Tampa Bay is in for a HUGE upset vs. SF this week. Everything lines up perfectly for them to have a big let down and play poorly:1) They are coming off a joke win so they are overconfident2) SF offense is playing lights out with Hill at QB3) Bucs have to travel all the way across the country to SF for this game4) Nationally televised home game for SF will have the fans and team whipped into a frenzySF completely shut down ADP. They'll have a much easier time doing the same thing to Graham (expect 12 carries for -1 yards and 0 TDs). TB will get beat in this game 24-10.As for the Packers, they have the single greatest defensive match-up in the history of FF. Chicago starting Orton tells the team that it is intentionally not fielding its best players or doing everything it can to win. They have given up at every level of their organization. If the Vikings didn't keep turning the ball over to CHI last week, they would have been shut out and lost about 40-0. The Packers will not make the same QB mistakes Minnesota did because Favre is the greatest QB the world will ever know. The Packers should have at least 8 sacks, 5 turnovers, and 2 D/ST scores this week. It is very likely that the Bears will not record a first down, and they have no chance of scoring. Anyone starting the Packers defense this week is guaranteed a championship.

I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning towards them. My other choice is Seattle...
I have Seattle Def and just noticed that TB is on our waiver wire and am thinking about picking them up and playing them instead of Seattle.
I am in the same boat and considering the same thing. I do have Jax though so I do have that option, though I think TB could be even better than Jax this week.

SF has had the worst offense for 15 weeks now and you expect them to turn it around in a meaningless game for them? SF only averages 242 yards a game, 13.6 pts a game, and TOP is 27:10 (worst in the league) Not to mention that they have the second highest turnover rate in the league -13 (Baltimore ranks 1st -18) The only reason SF has motivation to win this game is to keep NE from getting a higher draft pick (one is an NFC team and the other an AFC, so what does it really matter to the 49ers). Go with the Bucs and feel very confident.

I agree that TB is a great start against San Francisco, and I don't buy that they are in for a letdown; having said that, if I had Green Bay DST also, I would start them against the Bears without a second thoughtNi

SF and playing lights out = ;)

I know. I folded like a house of cards when seeing MN ranked #3 all week and TB ranked from 9-12. I questioned it all week on the site, but never got any answers. Made the change at the last minute, and would've won by 3 points had I kept TB in the lineup, even with Romo and Addai stinking up the joint. One word of caution. This is a game of emotion. TB was pissed last week after losing the week before and knew they would lock up the division with a win. This week, they may not be so fired up, as the champagne has already flowed. Also saw where their record the last 6 games when traveling to the West Coast is horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if the D had less than a dominating performance this week.

Im debating between TB D vs SF and Seattle D vs BAL (possibly starting T.Smith at QB) now.
If it weren't for TB Defense scoring me 28 pts last week, while my opponent's SEA defense scored him a big fat ZERO, I woudn't be in the championship game.Food for thought, Football nerd.

After last week's performance against ATL, how can you bench them against SF?EDIT:Also, why the continued low projections? I just don't get it.
Well this was an experiment that went down in flames. TB got me 11 pts. 11! After last week's 45! Unreal. Week of disastrous choices for me: TB over CHI, Brady over Big Ben, Anthony Gonzalez over Stecker = down by 40 pts going into MNF (opponent still has Marshall left to play, I have Keading and Scheffler). It's over. Christ.

I am with you too, played TB over Chi also but up by 21 right now with S. Young or Henry going tonight and he has LT2 and Marshall. If I had played Chi would have a 35 point lead.
