This was just announced on the Score and now Chicagosports has it. Not sure when he reports to the Cook County Jail. He faced up to a year in jail plus the fine.

Interesting note: Lovie Smith and Brian Urlacher were both at the sentencing hearing today, testifying in Tank's defense.

Update: Tank was taken away immediately and he's going to start serving his time immediately. He does have 30 days to appeal.

The last time a guy was not playing football in jail for an extended period of time, he didn't come out of it too well. Jamal Lewis has never been the same, though there are of course other factors involved. I always felt that the season that followed that incarceration (2004?) had a lot more injuries for him which I felt were attributable to conditioning problems.
