Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers have contacted other teams to let them know that S Taylor Mays is available for trade.



Wow... that didn't take long. Coming out of USC I think many of us thought of Mays as a terrific athlete with measureables (size, speed, etc.) that jumped off the charts, but not necessarily a great football player. It sure looks like the new 49ers regime has already come to that conclusion after the team spent a 2nd round draft pick on him just last year.
