Lol.Keep us posted. I'm on pins and needles
And to be fair; I also mentioned the tweets I’d seen about Engram’s improvement & which seems relevant to the topic.Lol.
To be fair in a year where TE is a wasteland, a guy like Engram is going to be missed pretty highly
(1 hr ago) Engram (knee) said he's "pretty optimistic" that he'll be ready to play Sunday against the Cardinals, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
After spraining the MCL in his left knee in an Oct. 6 loss to the Vikings, Engram was unable to make it back for the Giants' loss to the Patriots on Thursday Night Football in Week 6. With additional time to recover, Engram looks to be in a better place physically to begin Week 7 preparations, as he was able to take part in individual drills during a light practice Monday. The Giants will see what he's able to do in their official practice sessions Wednesday through Friday before making a more definitive ruling on his status for the matchup with Arizona.
Thoughts and prayers!JetMaxx said:Engram isn’t a typical TE but AZ is epically bad against the TE. Hopeful
Hoping his extended rest got him close to 100%. The guy can be a force.
(13 mins ago) Engram (knee) was a
full participant in Wednesday's practice, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Engram sat out New York's loss to the Patriots in Week 6 due to a sprained MCL in his left knee, and he now appears back to full health. Barring any setbacks, Engram is on track to suit up Sunday versus a Cardinals defense that's consistently struggled to cover the tight end position. Star running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) also practiced in full Wednesday and is trending towards availability Week 7.
I missed the cut in the subscribers contest by 8 points.Thank goodness. Somehow won without him last week.
Evan Engram caught 6-of-8 targets for 48 yards in the Giants' Week 9 loss to the Cowboys.
Engram tied Saquon Barkley for the team lead in targets. He hasn't had a truly big game since Week 3 against the Bucs and has settled in as a mid-range TE1 floor play ahead of a delicious Week 10 draw against the Jets where Engram will possess a high ceiling.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur said Evan Engram (foot) is dealing with a sore foot following New York's Week 9 loss to the Cowboys.
It's something to monitor as the week progresses. Engram's only missed one game this season (Week 6 versus New England), but it was also one that Sterling Shepard (concussion) and Saquon Barkley were held out for, too. Rhett Ellison saw seven targets in that contest and would be in line for more work if Engram misses time.

said it in the Giants thread, it's slowly becoming the season of "shut them down" because their records. I just don't think they will unless they really have to as Daniel Jones needs help to develop. If Eli was in there, I could totally see them just shutting down Shepard and Engram.Wednesday, my dudes.
But can't say I'm not nervous about this, as both an Engram owner, and for the Giants with Sterling ailing as well.
Shurmur said Engram has a mid-foot sprain and is in a boot. Said he’s “day-to-day, week-to-week.” Shurmur didn’t rule out a dreaded Lisfranc injury. Shepard is getting further evaluated for his concussions.
Giants' Evan Engram: Won't play Week 10
by RotoWire Staff
(6 mins ago) Engram (foot) said Wednesday that he won't suit up versus the Jets on Sunday, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Engram also revealed that the results of his MRI ruled out the possibility of a dreaded Lisfranc injury. He called his injury a "low-grade" mid-foot sprain, per Ralph Vacchiano, an injury which "could be a lot worse." The Giants are still waiting for a second opinion from foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, but it appears as though the third-year pro has sidestepped a severe injury. Rhett Ellison will draw the start at tight end Week 10, after which the Giants will benefit from a well-timed bye to further evaluate Engram.
Live look-in at Waller owners:Good news / bad news. Out this week. Not season-threatening.
He was high on my list this year (even convinced @yoman to draft him) but in one league with 4 raiders fans & 2 raiders fans in the other, there were no bargains to be had, nor was he a sleeper.Live look-in at Waller owners:

Felt I overdrafted him in my June rookie draft in the third, but like you I had a Raider fan to worry about so even though this was pre-Hard Knocks hype, couldn't chance it.He was high on my list this year (even convinced @yoman to draft him) but in one league with 4 raiders fans & 2 raiders fans in the other, there were no bargains to be had, nor was he a sleeper.![]()
Exactly. I’ve got Vance (just claimed) for this week, and Goedart next week. But need Evan after that.Just hoping he is good to go for week 12. Get well soon, Evan.
A little bit better boat to be in, but I only need Engram for Henry's bye in week 12. This has been a very frustrating TE combo in dynasty. Any given week could have the TE1, or not have a guy who is even playing.Hot Sauce Guy said:Exactly. I’ve got Vance (just claimed) for this week, and Goedart next week. But need Evan after that.
Yep - last game Engram missed coincided with Waller’s BYE, and I got knocked out of the subscriber contest by 7 points.A little bit better boat to be in, but I only need Engram for Henry's bye in week 12. Evan Engram (foot) is out for Week 10 against the Jets.
Sterling Shepard (foot) will also be a spectator this week. Rhett Ellison didn't leave the field (50-of-50 offensive snaps) the last time Engram sat in Week 6 and figures to function in a near every-down capacity once again in Week 10. He's an acceptable streamer and should be a popular DFS commodity, particularly at his eminently reasonable $5,000 list price on FanDuel. Golden Tate and Saquon Barkley should both benefit from added receiving work in Engram and Shepard's absences.

Evan Engram (foot) remained sidelined at Monday's practice.
Even after having the bye week to rest his ailing foot, Engram still isn't ready to practice. With Rhett Ellison (concussion) limited to side work at Monday's session, sixth-round rookie Kaden Smith could be in line for his first career start Sunday against Chicago. Smith has caught a single pass for one yard over 52 offensive snaps in his debut season.

I still don't know what to think here. Good that he's out of a boot and thinks playing is possible, bad that he isn't practicing yet -- we'll see what happens through the week but seems like they might hold him out regardless to give maximum recovery time so could be a GTD. Also bad if they feel, given their record, they want to shelve him for a few more games. The New York Giants were without their dynamic tight end Evan Engram in their Week 10 matchup against the New York Jets. Engram is dealing with a sprained foot that he suffered at the end of the Giants’ Week 9 rivalry-game with the Dallas Cowboys.
Week 10 was Evan Engram’s second time this season being inactive with an injury. He was also ruled out for the Giants’ Week 6 Thursday Night loss to the Patriots in New England. Evan’s current injury has kept him out for one game so far but has the potential to keep him out even longer.
Engram Still Not Practicing
Evan had some time to recover during the Giants’ Week 11 bye week. However, the recovery time might not have been enough. The Giants got back to practice on Monday, but Evan Engram was not a participant. Evan’s foot is still bothering him, and he is not yet ready to resume football activities.
Reason For Optimism
There is still reason for optimism regarding Evan Engram’s game status for this Sunday. Evan Engram did not practice on Monday, but he is out of his walking boot. A positive sign that Evan’s foot is recovering according to schedule.
When asked about his injury on Monday, Evan Engram stated that he was given a “2-4 week recovery time.” It has been two weeks since Engram suffered the injury, so he should be close to returning to action. Evan also mentioned that playing Sunday is “definitely possible.”
Evan Engram is ahead of schedule for his injury’s recovery time. He and head coach Pat Shurmur have not yet ruled out Evan playing on Sunday. The Giants will play the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Bears have a stout defense, so they will need all the offensive weapons that they could get. But they also need to be careful to keep Engram from further injuring himself in a season that is lost at 2-8.
Is Hollister the guy in SEA or just holding a spot for injured player?https://empiresportsmedia.com/new-york-giants/new-york-giants-evan-engram-injury-update/

Waivers run tonight, and wondering if upside TEs like Goedert, Fant, or even Hollister and Griffin might actually be better ROS than Engram.
Their main TE, Will Dissly -- who looked incredible -- went to IR with another TE they had for depth, Ed DIckson. Is Hollister the guy in SEA or just holding a spot for injured player?
He’s the guy I’d imagine. Dissly is out for the season and they traded their only other decent TE to Pittsburgh before the Dissly injury. I picked up Hollister last week as Engram insurance. Looks like Wilson looks his way pretty often, especially in the red zone.Is Hollister the guy in SEA or just holding a spot for injured player?
Luke Wilson is the one I was thinking, isn't he coming back this week?Their main TE, Will Dissly -- who looked incredible -- went to IR with another TE they had for depth, Ed DIckson.
Luke Willson is a TE who can both block and catch, but hasn't flashed the way Hollister has recently or seemed to have the same utilization in the red zone.
I am not sure why that matters. Look back at box scores -- since Dissly's been out, Hollister routinely has more receptions (and targets, I believe) even when Willson is in the game.Luke Wilson is the one I was thinking, isn't he coming back this week?
Wilson is their blocking TE. Think Rhett Ellison but not as good.I am not sure why that matters. Look back at box scores -- since Dissly's been out, Hollister routinely has more receptions (and targets, I believe) even when Willson is in the game.
Sorry guys this is what I saw regarding Dickson.Wilson is their blocking TE. Think Rhett Ellison but not as good.
I guess it's possible Dickson gets looks if Willson can't go, but I can't see the journeyman TE all of the sudden command the role away from Hollister who looks to have chemistry with Wilson. Crazier things have happened.Sorry guys this is what I saw regarding Dickson.

With Engram just shedding the boot I can't see starting him this week if he does play, is Hollister a better target than Goedert for our fill in? Any others higher on your radar?
Hopefully Engram comes back strong for playoffs but we all need an insurance policy.
He might be owned in larger leagues, but Jack Doyle might not be a bad option. Sounds like both Ebron and Alie-Cox could be out, in addition to Hilton, Campbell, and Mack. Doyle could have a bit of the "where else is the ball gonna go?" value this week, as could Pascal. Bad news there, is that you'd have to decide by Thursday night.Sorry guys this is what I saw regarding Dickson.
