Team Defenses to target (1 Viewer)

Rounders

I thought that it would be helpful to throw out some ideas for some up-and-coming defenses that we can hopefully use in the upcoming season. The goal here is not to identify that Chicago or Baltimore are the teams to grab but rather those teams that are flying under the radar.

Here's my top 3 targets:

1) Arizona - finished 14th in my league last year which surprised me. Solid group that could still get better.

2) Green Bay - finished 12th in my league and was very young. Led by sack man Kampman and two very good corners, 2007 looks nice.

3) New Orleans - finished 20th last year and call this more of a gut feeling, but with the offense clicking last year I think this year the defense catches up. They do need some help in the secondary, but a first round draft pick could help there.

What say you?

I'm targeting Philadelphia, I don't know if they qualify (they finished around 8th last year).

They already have one of the best secondaries with Dawkins, Brown and Sheppard.

They added Spikes at LB. Will be getting Jevon Kearse back at DE.

And when I look at their division I see 6 games against Eli Manning, Jason Campbell and Tony Romo. That's a lot of picks and sacks.

Plus they actually have a chance at a return TD now that Bethel Johnson/Jeremy Bloom will be replacing Reno Mahe.

Agreed with Green Bay. Hawk should get better and it seemed like Woodson made a comeback. Kampman is definitely under the radar.

San Fran, San Diego, Dallas

San Fran played better as the season went on, and should create some more TO's.

San Diego didn't lose any talent and Cromartie is a year older and could be explosive, and they put pressure on Offenses.

Dallas with Wade should be done with the Zimmer bend, bend, bend defense...I expect them to be more aggressive and get to the QB a lot more. The secondary should be able to take advantage of the QB pressures.
