Teams in desperate need of a uniform change (1 Viewer)

The Bengals have so much potential too. I mean a tiger is about the coolest looking animal in the wild, other than the Hippo.

Basically, any uniform that has dark on dark is bad.
i generally agree with that, and i'm biased but one exception is when the jacksonville jaguars roll out in their black on black unis. this look is very fitting for this team. it's a reminder that someone is about to get punched in the mouth.(incidentally, i'm not a big fan of their basic teal scheme. teal's a bad choice and in general, their unis have an nfl europe look to them)

I'm glad that it looks like the Jags are ditching the black on black look. "Ask Vic" on the Jaguars website from earlier this week-
Jason from Rockville, MD: I'm not a fashion guy, but the white pants with the teal jerseys looked sharp (like a blue polo with khakis, sharp). Can we please put the ridiculous black pants away for good?Vic: I have a feeling that when this season is over, the days of blacks pants and black shirts will be over, too.

I like Cards new uniforms. Same with the Vikings.

The Bills on the other hand, are atrocious. They should go back to their throwback 1960s uniforms permanently.

Yeah, i know there's a history there but the Browns uniforms are god awful.
While they're not the best, they're nowhere close to being the worst.
They're Brown and orange. When is that ever a good combo? Not too mention they're about as boring as humanly possible.
I love this classic look. Even better was the throwback helmet last week the the players number on it.Perfect, well almost perfect. Penn State has the perfect team uniform.

i guess i may be in the minority then.i will always love the black on black of the jags.

The ravens usually pull out black on black (with purple trim) for their home prime-time games. They always seem to play like crap in night games, and they wear these and look even more gawdawful doing it. The black jerseys are OK on their own, but with the all-black pants it is just horrid. Worse than any others except possibly the cardinals all-red.

I especially hate the black on black.

Basically all the old school uniforms like Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, etc are the best. And all these modern style uniforms are ugly.

For the record, the Browns uniforms are great. Simple is better.

I tried to like them, but I can't stand the new Vikings jerseys - particularly the purple ones. The white ones aren't too bad but still...

I don't like teal, so the Jags and Panthers are both bad (Dolphins get a pass because they're more "classic").

Orange and red don't go together, so I can't stand the Bucs uniforms. But they're certainly better than their previous affronts to nature.

Teams with too much going on on their unis are the Bills and Falcons.

Thus endeth the fashion report.

I think it's a great combo. Just as yellow/black and yellow/green are great combos. I'm never going to wear a green shirt with yellow pants to work, but there's something about these color combinations that make them look real good on a football field. There's no mistaking what team you're watching when you see these colors. That's the problem I have with the newer teams and colors out there. They all seem to feature a different shade of blue. There's nothing unique about the colors.

The Giants need to ditch the red unis. They look hideous and the team plays like crap when they break them out.

I agree that the Bills should revert back to the throwbacks (helmets and all).

Jets green on green and Bears orange unis are putrid also.

Good call there....I actually liked the Giants unis and logo from the 80s....it was nice and simple. As for my team, I could do without the fire-engine red pants on the road for the Chiefs. I liked the white-on-white for road games that KC used under Schottenheimer. The home jerseys should never be touched.

Gotta start with Seattle, IMHO. Their all-blue unis look god awful. The whites are marginally better.
I agree. Growing up without an NFL team I considered local, I became a Seahawks fan as a kid because I loved those NFL sweatshirts they used to have and the Seahawks were the coolest looking one. Went from loving the Seahawks uniforms to hating the new ones. God-awful is absolutely correct. I still need to go get myself a Largent or Warner throwback.

There are some colors that shouldn't be on the field. Otherwise the NFL would look like a cheap football movie. And Brown/Orange is such a boring combination, almost depressing.

While we're at it... the NFL should not let teams wear throwbacks if they look like the creation of a colorblind fashion designer. Some of the stuff they've worn is absolutely hideous. I understand wanting to do a tribute to your past, but if they looked that bad, find some other way to do it.

I love teams sticking with tradition, it is good for the game....nevertheless, the color combonations of green/yellow, purple/yellow, orange/brown are hideous, but this 'aint art class, so I don't care!

My favorite uniforms are the 49ers/classic Chargers/Bears/Patriots/Lions...

For all major US sports...Chicago Blackhawks have top notch gear

The Bills are in a tough spot, the red/blue combination has been done so many times, it's hard to be original...hopefully they have some old-school uniform they can use in the future.

You know how I know you're gay?

You're discussing color combinations and uniforms.

ah, just kidding. The Bengals have issues, they are treading into Oregon Duck territory. All in all, simpler is better.

AFC North by far has the worst looks...Steelers are classic.

I can't believe the feeling of satisfaction I have hearing that statement from you.

I love Seattle's all blue actually. It has a steely-oceanic look to it which represents Seattle's watery reputation well

IMHO

Just because something is old, it doesn't mean it's "classic", just old.

My worst:

Bears

Browns

Steelers

Packers

Redskins

My favorites:

Jags black on black

Chargers

Saints

Seahawks

The Dolphins aqua is just a bad color, I guess it flies in South Florida but away games in Buffalo, NYJ and NE in November/December they look bad....reminds me of the Zubaz Zebra pants in the 80s.
