Haters hate, others take the fantasy points and add to the wins column.
Tebow haters, call us when he stops putting up points. Until then, not really interested, thanks.looked like a guy going through his first start of the season, and kicking it into gear when it countedif anyone watched the game they saw a guy who does not have the release or accuracy needed to put up any sort of consistent fantasy numbers. he was extremely close to one of the worst games of the season. If there is someone in your league who thinks that Tebow is a legit QB1 please trade him now. he will get rushing yards but his passing ability is so low he will have multiple under 100 yard games
Well, you got that part rightI don't own the guy but I kept hearing him touted on the audible from Bloom..... Something like he's a QB1 should be valued for an RB1 in a trade? Really? If he can't do it against Miami he ain't doing it any time soon.... I like the show and I guess you have to take a stand but..... Someone should be eating crow this week...
I like to think of Tebow with, like, big eagle's wings, singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with, like, an angel band, and I'm in the front row, and I'm hammered drunk...

He's started 4 games in his career and broke 20 fantasy points in each of them. That's as consistent as you get.if anyone watched the game they saw a guy who does not have the release or accuracy needed to put up any sort of consistent fantasy numbers. he was extremely close to one of the worst games of the season. And who exactly would Tebow be losing his job to? Kyle Orton? Brady Quinn? He won the damn game despite being down two scores in the 4th quarter. You don't pay quarterbacks to throw for 300 yards; you pay them to be team leaders and win games. If Tebow can do that without ever throwing for more than 170 yards, then defenses aren't exactly shutting him down.If his throws look like that every week, he's gonna have some weeks with some very ugly stats...He overthrew a WIDE OPEN Decker by more than 10 yards, it would have been a sure 80 yard TD too, you can't be missing on those plays every week like that, and the fact that his throw was nowhere near his WR makes me wonder if he can keep doing that and keep his job.
I know he pulled it out in the end with 2 late TD's, but he struggled all day to do it...maybe his throws get better as he plays more, maybe not, we shall see in a few weeks.
Do they play the 0-6 Dolphins every week? How many times does he throw for less than 100 yds in the first 3 QTRs before he doesnt deliver in the 4th QTR? Id imagine somewhere around wk 8.QB4 in my main this week. Probably QB5 after Brees gets done tonight. Still, those are starting fantasy QB numbers and he was awful for the first 57 minutes.
"Cam Newton and Tebow have the same number of career wins". You are correct ,sir. As of right now(being a Bills fan) I would take Dalton, Newton, and even Ponder. You obviously are a Tebow fan and can't look outside of your tunnel. Good luck with that. Tebow may lead his team to countless titles. No one knows. And who exactly would Tebow be losing his job to? Not like Denver has Aaron Rodgers or even Matt Flynn on the bench. Tebow is the starter for the remainder of the season, unless Elway becomes so fixated on Luck that he hires a crippled blind hobo off the street to play quarterback.
Cam Newton and Tebow have the same number of career wins, yet Tebow got his two in just four starts. Stop blindly hating the guy and respect the facts.
You realize that there's more to assessing a QB's fantasy value than the records of the teams they play and what quarters he gets his points, right? It was his first start. This isn't Madden on the XBox. It's the NFL. Most QBs need some real live ammo reps to get a rhythm.I'm beginning to get the impression that the average poster on the website is much younger than I suspected when I got here. The anti-Tebow sentiments around here are near comical. It's almost like people are angry.Do they play the 0-6 Dolphins every week? His ceiling would be doing what he did in the 4th quarter for a whole game. So, 16 points in the 4th quarter would be 64 points for a game. I'll take 64 points from my qb. It's not great production but I'll take it.Cant dump on the guy for that, he was asking a legitimate question about the value of Tebow, which imo this performance is his ceiling. Also, this guy was in no danger of being the first Tebow hater, pretty much 90% of NFL fans are in agreement on that. And then he blew up. Broncos about to get the ball back. The timing was perfect. Tried to be the first hater. End up with crow pie.Timing was reasonable, it was posted while Tebow was still playing terrible.Absolutely impeccable timing on this thread,![]()

For some reason people have a really hard time understanding this.In the two games Tebow started last year, the half of a game he played last week, and today's game, Tebow has averaged 24.64 fantasy points a game (at least in my league - it's higher in standard leagues). That's a top five average. If there was a guy on the waiver wire that put up that kind of average over 3 1/2 games this year, it wouldn't matter if he threw the ball underhanded, he'd have been snagged off the WW a long time ago. He'll stay in my lineup until he stops giving me 25 points a game, simple as that. The only reason for all the hate is because his name is Tebow.
If I was betting on the future of the Bills with a young QB, I wouldnt pick Tebow either since he's on the Broncos"Cam Newton and Tebow have the same number of career wins". You are correct ,sir. If I had to bet the Bills future on a young Qb, it would not be Tebow. (With all due respect to the facts.)
Lmfao, I realize you dont understand this, but to help you better understand why your logic is dumb: So Tom Brady has thrown 5 Touchdowns in a single QTR, so by that logic his ceiling is 20 touchdowns in a single game. His ceiling would be doing what he did in the 4th quarter for a whole game. So, 16 points in the 4th quarter would be 64 points for a game. I'll take 64 points from my qb. It's not great production but I'll take it.
First of all, it isnt his first start. Second of all a QBs value in fantasy is determined by his numbers - which are bad, getting by every week doesnt make you a QB1.Seeyah guys next week. You realize that there's more to assessing a QB's fantasy value than the records of the teams they play and what quarters he gets his points, right? Well, that at least makes me feel better about Decker's statline todayIf his throws look like that every week, he's gonna have some weeks with some very ugly stats...He overthrew a WIDE OPEN Decker by more than 10 yards, it would have been a sure 80 yard TD too, you can't be missing on those plays every week like that, and the fact that his throw was nowhere near his WR makes me wonder if he can keep doing that and keep his job.

Right,in his first 3 starts in 2010 he was the highest scoring fantasy QB. How are those bad numbers?First of all, it isnt his first start.

It's his first start of the season. I'm talking game speed and rhythm. Ask Carson Palmer how much a start last season's worth in the context of getting up to game speed and finding rhythm with your receivers.A QBs value in fantasy is determined by his fantasy points - which have been nothing short of QB1 level every game he's played. If that's getting by, then that works.Gee, can't wait.Lmfao, I realize you dont understand this, but to help you better understand why your logic is dumb: So Tom Brady has thrown 5 Touchdowns in a single QTR, so by that logic his ceiling is 20 touchdowns in a single game. His ceiling would be doing what he did in the 4th quarter for a whole game. This, 100%.I don't own Tebow, and I think he looks downright ugly much of the time. But when given the opportunity, the dude is somehow, someway, putting up significant fantasy numbers.the people bashing Tebow don't seem to understand that most of the people propping him up aren't saying he's anything special as an NFL QB. we're just saying look at his production when he plays. it's pretty amazing. looks ugly doing it much of the time, but he puts up fantasy points. Sure, it might get him benched at some point but might as well ride the train as long as we can.
It sure does take major "cahones" to start a quarterback who's averaged 26 fantasy points a game through 4 starts.Happy to own him in every league, but it's gonna take some serious cahones to start him every week.
so in this case, bloom gets accountabilty for being right?it is impossible to tell from the context if you are aware of this, but tebow was one of the top fantasy players OVERALL in the last three games last year, yet no mention of that fact, as if it never happened.yet it is some kind of a bizarre, ridiculous prognostication on the part of bloom that tebow might do... exactly what he has done every time he has started (as has been pointed out several times elsewhere in the thread)...accountability should work both ways (didn't you specifically mention in first post someone should be eating crow... crow is funny like that, always funner to serve than to swallow... typically, crow eating protocol calls for the mistaken party to say something like oops, never mind, not defiantly continue to insist they are really right and the other person was just luckyReally Tebow made anyone eat it? QB1 numbers? I dont' want to waste anyone's time here. I just don't think he's QB1 value but he pulled through in the end. All hail Tebow...... For the record I don't give 2 ####s about Tebow.... I just don't think he's QB1 value.... I want to make sure the people that are giving advice are held accountable that is all. Thanks for your time all.
)... since tebow has put up big numbers in last three games last year, and in past two games this year (five games in a row he has started all or at least half a game), aren't you being the contrarian? shouldn't the onus be on you to give reasons why he is destined/doomed to fail to live up to QB1 status (and be worthy of RB1 value in return)... is your position that he has just gotten lucky, and it is unsustainable on that basis?in the post above, you don't really offer reasons for your position, just repeat the opinion... you don't think tebow is worthy of QB1 status, twice... we get that... offering WHY you don't think so would lead to a more substantive and constructive discussion of why bloom might be right, or wrong...it is unusual to take the trouble to call somebody out, yet offer no reasons for doing so?:woosh:Lmfao, I realize you dont understand this, but to help you better understand why your logic is dumb: So Tom Brady has thrown 5 Touchdowns in a single QTR, so by that logic his ceiling is 20 touchdowns in a single game. His ceiling would be doing what he did in the 4th quarter for a whole game. ...It's really boggling my mind as to how people are not understanding this concept. We all understand he's not a pure passer, because he isn't. As long as he is starting in the NFL, he will be posting QB1 numbers, its obvious. I'm calling a 'stop the madness' on this ignorance!
Broncos fans because it's going to be a wild ride!If you think this is going to change, you haven't followed John Fox closely.I did a 3-hour NO BS Broncos Postgame show here in Denver after the game and I put a lot of Tebow's struggles on the playcalling in the first 3 quarters. Yes, he missed open guys but had only 11 passing attempts in the first 3 quarters. Denver ran on something like 13 of 14 first-downs before the comeback, and was overall very, very predictable on offense. Getting in long third-down situations does not play to Tebow's strengths.
I don't disagree with you necessarily. If your point is that Tebow won't sustain this pace, and to sell high...that's reasonable. However, the ill-conceived premise of this thread was to call out FBG staff for claiming Tebow a QB1, even asking for "accountability".One super-smart mathlete even claimed that Tebow has put up bad numbers...literally the opposite of reality.simply because he has put up numbers so far does not mean he will continue to. that is what I am saying. that is where the eye test is important. can he quickly release the ball? no. can he throw accurately? no. that is why I think his average will drop as he plays more games and people who are saying this is his floor will be disappointed
@ calling for accountability on an internet magic football forumIn four starts, he's been #6, #7, #1, and (as of Sunday night) #5.There's no way that's not QB1 production. The kid has been a top 10 fantasy QB every time he's started in the NFL, and should be valued as such.
