Tebow in...Moreno's value? (1 Viewer)

What does this do for Moreno? Do they run the ball even more? Will goal line caries go to Tebow. More sceens for Moreno?

Flush Lloyd right down the toilet!!
Unfortunately, yes, I agree. Such a shame. As for Moreno, i wouldn't expect much to change with regards to his net output. He may get a few more carries as they'll likely try to lean on the running game to protect Tebow, but running lanes may be harder to come by. He may get a few more dump offs or screens, but he already catches quite a few balls as it is. I don't think Tebow will necessarily be THE goal line back, but I do expect, if they can even get inside the 5, that they'll run the Wild Horses formation--this does not preclude Moreno from scoring though, so long as as he is in he backfield with Tebow in these formations.

Gonna have to bench Moreno. Just can't see Denver moving the ball at all tomorrow.
I'm still rolling with him. I think he has a decent shot at 100 total yards and a score. Strangely enough, even given his new situation, I still consider him a better start than AP (whom I am starting Knowshon over).

:lmao: :lmao: I love Owners with knee jerk reactions....so, you're going to sit a guy that has put up the 4th most pts from weeks 10-14 at the RB position in std PPR leagues (only 5.1 pts behind Hillis in that time frame) because of a QB change :lmao: :lmao: If anything the Bronco's may lean on Moreno more to help ease Tebow into the game...I'll be starting him with confidence :boxing:

If anything, this bumps up Moreno for me. New QB.. Tebow getting used to the rush... Bring on the screen passes. Moreno is a solid receiver out of the backfield. Moreno has been solid the last several weeks running the ball and OAK defense is not that great against the run. In regards to TD runs at the goalline, the fact of the matter is that Tebow is going to get his, but I would see them working Moreno into the mix just to keep the defenses off kilter.

Foolish to bench Moreno IMO. Now is the time to start him.

If I am the OC for Denver the very first play from scrimmage I would run a fly patter for Lloyd and have Tebow chuck that mother as far as he can. 2nd play I have Tebow fake a handoff and take an end around himself. 3rd play I chuck that mother deep again.

If they can convince their opponents that Tebow can throw they may be able to clear out the box and establish a running game. My thought would be to distract the defense with Tebow and hopefully create some space for Moreno.

I have nothing to justify this feeling, but I think Tebow might be okay. I have this gut feeling he will energize the team with his enthusiasm and toughness. Nothing against Orton who I think does an outstanding job (until the last couple weeks) I could just see the team responding to the blind excitement that I think Tebow will bring to the huddle. Like I said, nothing to justify it, but it wouldn't surprise me completely.

I like your thinking. Play action or flea flicker on the first play. Be bold. They have nothing to lose...

I think the part about energizing the team may be true. It will be interesting to see in any case. I am playing Oakland Defense because the odds are that they demolish him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he inspired Denver and if the game is much better than we expect.

I'm not too worried about Moreno this week. Might be a little tougher for him to run if Oakland plays the LOS more, but I could see a few extra passes Moreno's way that should make up for it. He's going for his 6th straight 100+ total yardage game, and I believe he gets it. TDs? Not sure. I don't know enough about Studesville's coaching style or tendencies at the goalline, or if he gets tricky with QB sneaks/options. I see Moreno's floor in that 10 points range, and that's good enough for me to feel comfortable starting him in the playoffs.

Big bump for Oakland kicking game.
Um, with the 80% chance of rain? Or does Janikowski have a good track record in bad weather :lmao: .
Yeah, I'm a little puzzled by that also. I just benched SeaBass in favor of Barth.
Well it really doesn't belong in this thread, but SeaBass isn't all that bad in rain or wind:Linky

Barth also is going against the toughest Field Goal defense in the league - the Detroit Lions (seriously, only 14 FG attempts against them the whole year).
