ted cruz - i hate new york (1 Viewer)

Smart politics. The early contests are all full of NYC hating hicks. He has to win a few of those to have a chance. Total dbag making the only move he has.

He meant Jews.
I saw you mention that somewhere else and referenced the West Wing and disagree with that.

I also really hate being put in any type of position where I am even remotely defending super Dbag Cruz.
I agree with Tim. Long time code.

Seinfeld was also once labeled in Network notes as "too New York".
If a network exec called Jeff Foxworthy "too Southern" what would that mean?

REDNECK!!

This is what politics have boiled down to -- Some trivial remark that has no real bearing on the job, gets a reaction. It becomes the main take away from the debate.

Maybe it has always been this way.
The depressing realization in this age of dumbing down is that the questions have moved from, "Was Nietzsche right about God?" to, "How big was his ####?" Make the best of every moment. We're not evolving. We're not going anywhere.

Well the actual quote from tartikoff was "too New York, too Jewish" from the Wikipedia so to answer your question, if a network exec said "too southern, too Protestant" I would imagine there might be more a bit more rancor.

According to conservatives, anybody who criticizes Benjamin Netanyahu is anti-Israeli. This is a ploy to get more Jews to vote Republican. But it never seems to work.
It is always those evil Republicans fault. One day you will see what the Hillary Machine is really all about. Hillary learned a lot from Joe Kennedy's history on how to scam the people to gain power.

There doesn't seem to be too much code in that quote. My point being that if someone says he's very New York I don't automatically think Jew.

Cruz I think was talking about liberals who are evil to him and play well to his crowd.

Trump didn't even raise this Jew angle he jumped straight into some 9/11 stuff.

This dude is so disgusting. Im happy to know there is no way a slimeball of this caliber could be elected.

Otherwise i couldnt show my face overseas.

What exactly should be considered negative or derogatory about what Cruz was insinuating? He said something to the effect that NY values are socially liberal, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, focused around money and media. Is this something that is supposed to be offensive? Stupid generalization, yes. Some anti-semitic code seems like a bit of a stretch.

IMO the part where these guys use being "liberal" as some punchline in their speeches is annoying but whatever.

Really don't see that I'm supposed to be offended by this.
