Ted Ginn not healthy? (1 Viewer)

Just read the e-mail update and it stated that Ted Ginn is still hobbling around in a boot after being injured in the BCS game. Also stated that Ginn may not be ready for training camp.

Four months after the game and Ginn is still hobbled? And may not be ready 6 months after the injury?

This has to be of some concern. Those mid-foot sprains tend to linger.

Makes the Dolphins pick that more dubious.

Does a new coaching staff include overhaul of the Dolphin medical staff as well ? One assumes that Miami did their due diligence on Ginn, but everyone knows how their evaluations of Brees and Culpepper turned out. <_<

He's the next Yatil Green! <_<

He will definitely miss this weekend's minicamp and is expected back by July. He says he is "75%" right now, which means he is still faster then Dwayne Jarrett.

I read about the boot and wasnt sure how that started. He wasnt wearing a boot at his press conference.

He was asked about the foot and said if he had a game tomorrow,he'd play.

Ginn could play tommorow..yet will not be ready for training camp?

Better than watching Quinn sink like a concrete block in the draft was the response to the announcement of Ginn as the Fins #1 pick at their own headquarters .

:goodposting:

Hi pad,The boot thing is a little confusing. He'll be in a boot for about another month BUT he doesn't have to wear it all the time. As Colin said, he's saying he's about 75%. He can run and workout right now. But he's wearing the boot outside of that to help heal. Not unlike some players will go with boot on Monday during the season and take it off Friday or something. On a probably meaningless and small note, the medical staff that gave the team the thumbup on Ginn is the medical staff that said no on Drew Brees' shoulder last year. The team obviously feels he'll be fine. It's just a little nerve wracking.J

I remember a few posters thinking that Ginn was dogging it at the bowl game. Obviously he wasn't.

Also, Ginn held his Pro Day and ran pretty well considering he's still not 100%. I wouldn't be too worried Dolphin fans. You don't want to rush him back only to have a set back that would make you

don't worry - they'll handle him as carefully as Culpepper. :goodposting: Ginn will be be back to full speed the same time as Culpepper----- none too soon
