lol its getting blasted. Itll probably be awful. I loved the original movie. Saw it multiple times as a kid. Loved the turtles growing up and taking my 5 yr old as an excuse to see it but i fully expect it to be awful. It looks awful. That's with a pedigree of secret of the ooze and Vanilla Ice behind it.
I'm not 10 anymore so I don't have high hopes.
at least they arent aliens like he originally plannedThis movie has/had so much promise because of memories of childhood. Then, Michael Bay got involved. The End.

absolutely. Took my five yr old and my buddy took his 3 yr old. No clue why this was rated pg-138 year old handleit?
Opened to 65 million and they have already announced there would be a sequel in 2016.There was nothing wrong about this movie. Didnt deserve the horrible reviews. Not saying it was amazing or anything but it was pretty much non stop action and the turtles were fine. Shredder was pretty bad ###. Theater was jam packed and theyll definitely be a sequel imo.
kids still love the turtles too so it seemed like a lock for a big weekend. The nostalgia factor plus the kid factor is an obvious goldmine. Amazing CGI didnt hurt.BTW Shady was just who they aimed this at. They wanted to get what they call "nostalgics" in to see it. It's also why they kept the pizza and dated sayings.
Sure. But it was important to get adults in to make the money. They had a two pronged marketing strategy that seemed to work. Don't screw with basic canon for the older folks and keep it light fun for the younger ones.kids still love the turtles too so it seemed like a lock for a big weekend. well everyone has different opinions about what is safe for their children. I thought ot was fine but your opinion may vary. I saw tons of kids there even as young as 3. Bunch of kids wearing tmnt tees and holding tmnt toys, etc. there was no blood, no on screen deaths. There was fighting with their weapons and gun fire. Thats it.My daughter loves tmnt... the Pg13 and "parents" reviews scared us off
That reviewer says it is over $100.00 for a family of five. He may want to try a matinee.Hey belljr, i agree almost 100% with this guys review. Maybe its helpful

Ill reiterate, i have no clue how this got a pg-13 rating.
It baffles me that people still buy the overpriced junkfood at theaters.prosopis said:That reviewer says it is over $100.00 for a family of five. He may want to try a matinee.shadyridr said:Hey belljr, i agree almost 100% with this guys review. Maybe its helpful

Took my 8 and 6 year old to see it over the weekend. There were a few nostalgic moments from my childhood, but my kids only know TMNT from the current series on Nickelodeon. With that in mind, Bay made some changes but it wasn't terrible. Had its funny moments and its eye-rolling moments. From what I heard, the PG-13 rating comes from all of the "sci-fi violence" with the fighting scenes. There is nothing wrong with this movie that a child could see in a PG movie. There were plenty of kids in my theater (of all ages) wearing throwback TMNT t-shirts, ninja masks, or face paintings. Very odd thing to see a grown man with his face painted green and a mask. But hey, to each his own I guess.shadyridr said:Hey belljr, i agree almost 100% with this guys review. Maybe its helpful
