Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! (1 Viewer)

It looks awful. That's with a pedigree of secret of the ooze and Vanilla Ice behind it.

I'm not 10 anymore so I don't have high hopes.

lol its getting blasted. Itll probably be awful. I loved the original movie. Saw it multiple times as a kid. Loved the turtles growing up and taking my 5 yr old as an excuse to see it but i fully expect it to be awful.

I was a fan as a kid and thought I would see this when I first heard about it but it looks truly horrifying.

I can't believe the way the turtles look either. The Henson suits from 25 years ago are so much better. I can't believe I just typed those last two sentences but it's true.

I usually end up defending Michael Bay somewhat around here, but this movie looks awful.

I'm sure I'll still watch it though :kicksrock:

This movie has/had so much promise because of memories of childhood. Then, Michael Bay got involved. The End.

There was nothing wrong about this movie. Didnt deserve the horrible reviews. Not saying it was amazing or anything but it was pretty much non stop action and the turtles were fine. Shredder was pretty bad ###. Theater was jam packed and theyll definitely be a sequel imo.

Opened to 65 million and they have already announced there would be a sequel in 2016.

BTW Shady was just who they aimed this at. They wanted to get what they call "nostalgics" in to see it. It's also why they kept the pizza and dated sayings.

kids still love the turtles too so it seemed like a lock for a big weekend. The nostalgia factor plus the kid factor is an obvious goldmine. Amazing CGI didnt hurt.

Sure. But it was important to get adults in to make the money. They had a two pronged marketing strategy that seemed to work. Don't screw with basic canon for the older folks and keep it light fun for the younger ones.

My daughter loves tmnt... the Pg13 and "parents" reviews scared us off
well everyone has different opinions about what is safe for their children. I thought ot was fine but your opinion may vary. I saw tons of kids there even as young as 3. Bunch of kids wearing tmnt tees and holding tmnt toys, etc. there was no blood, no on screen deaths. There was fighting with their weapons and gun fire. Thats it.

Saw it this weekend with my 12 year old. I went with a gift card a kid gave me for coaching basketball this past season. Two tickets, popcorn, pop, candy, $9 out of pocket. It was about worth it at that price. Certainly not a movie worth paying full price to see in the theatre. Since it was Bay, the fighting sequences were unwatchable, so it would have been fine to see at home.

Ill reiterate, i have no clue how this got a pg-13 rating.
Took my 8 and 6 year old to see it over the weekend. There were a few nostalgic moments from my childhood, but my kids only know TMNT from the current series on Nickelodeon. With that in mind, Bay made some changes but it wasn't terrible. Had its funny moments and its eye-rolling moments. From what I heard, the PG-13 rating comes from all of the "sci-fi violence" with the fighting scenes. There is nothing wrong with this movie that a child could see in a PG movie. There were plenty of kids in my theater (of all ages) wearing throwback TMNT t-shirts, ninja masks, or face paintings. Very odd thing to see a grown man with his face painted green and a mask. But hey, to each his own I guess.

I'd give it 4/10. Too much of a kids movie for me. I didn't feel nostalgic at all cuz the visuals were so different from what I am used to from the 80's cartoon and video games.

I really liked the movie. If you were a fan of the cartoon in the 80's or the comic book I think you'll like the movie. It is comparable to the movie Judge Dread. If you were already a fan of Judge Dread it was a good movie. If you just went knowing nothing about the character, it sucked.

That reviewer says it is over $100.00 for a family of five. He may want to try a matinee.
It baffles me that people still buy the overpriced junkfood at theaters.
Not everyone wants to be gangsta and sneak in snacks.

First one wasn't great but my son and I enjoyed it. Second one getting better reviews and has Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, Casey Jones, and Baxter Stockman? Count me in! Cant wait to see it hopefully this weekend.

Kids have been asking me to see the new one for over a month.  The first one wasn't too bad.  Interested to see how they tie Krang and all into the new Turtles mythos.

At first I was like no these movies are stupid. But then I remember how bad the originals were and I loved hem as a kid. So my 5 year old son should love it and is pretty excited about it.

heroes in a half shell!!!
They're on a mission.

When there's a battle got the enemy wishin'That they stayed at home instead of fightin'These ninja masters with moves like lightnin'

Well now that's going to be in my head the rest of the day.

Enjoyed the first, looking forward to seeing this one.  Unfortunately I don't know a single other person who would go see this.

Know what I say?  #### Em!
