They have Eric Moulds, Roby, Jones, Roydell Williams, and Paul Williams.
How is this thing going to shake out?

Brandon Jones will be the #1.Here's a response question:Is it worth it to try and figure it out? They have a bunch of bodies, and there are at least 3 solid possibilities to become the #1 guy. I doubt we'll know who that is in time for most fantasy drafts. That's cool, I don't mind taking a shot on a guy if he has the chance to be the #1 guy. But what are we looking at for numbers for the winner of this derby? I mean, if I am gonna take a late round flier on a guy, I want either less confusion about where the race stands, or a bigger payoff if he hits.I'll tell you what's going to happen. people are going to be watching the preseason games too closely, and some guy is gonna have a big couple of plays, like Ced Wilson did in the HOF Game, and that guy is gonna race up draft boards. It'll be hilarious to watch.
I agree but not too sure what value that means for Jones.Brandon Jones will be the #1.Here's a response question:Is it worth it to try and figure it out? They have a bunch of bodies, and there are at least 3 solid possibilities to become the #1 guy. It means about 50/700/7.I agree but not too sure what value that means for Jones.Brandon Jones will be the #1.
TD number seems a little high. I can live with the rest.It means about 50/700/7.I agree but not too sure what value that means for Jones.Brandon Jones will be the #1.

He scored 4 on 27 b/c Young couldn't read the defense, knew only a fraction of the offense, and teams were spying him. This year, against more zone D and with a better knowledge of the O, Young will spread the ball out a bit more.TD number seems a little high. Do you expect Young's TDs to not also correspondingly rise? I'm not trying to call you out or anything, I'm just askin'.I believe Young's TD passes should rise in general and therefore make more available for everyone, including Jones. He scored 4 on 27 b/c Young couldn't read the defense, knew only a fraction of the offense, and teams were spying him. Don't forget that Brandon Jones had a serious knee injury and likely wasn't at full speed last year. I think he could do much better than the numbers I've seen.

I disagree with this. I think it is a given here at footballguys that he will be the most productive wr. However, it wouldn't surprise me even a little to see Roby as more productive. And Brandon Jones?Moulds = old, possession type WRRoby = big play WR, one of my sleeper picksRoydell = 3rd WR to start the seasonPaul = rookie that will make an impression later in the yearIt's pretty much a given that he'll be the #1, barring someone surprising. At the start of the year, I assume Jones, Moulds and Roydell play most.Roby could be a Brandon Lloyd clone.
Nothing?bump for updates on Paul Williams. How has he looked in preseason?
Watching their game this week, Roydell was running with the first team and was getting targets. He actually looked pretty good too. Brandon Jones didn't see the field and at one point the announcer mentioned Jones was in the dog house, he hadn't had a good preseason and that Roydell was currently #1.
I was thinking Brandon would be a sleeper, but at this point I'm staying away from the Tenn WR situation. In TE required leagues it looks like Scaife is a decent sleeper.
He got zero catches against the Bills this week, and I honestly can't recall seeing him on the field.Nothing?bump for updates on Paul Williams. How has he looked in preseason?![]()
Scaife is the value play in TEN, no doubt.Watching their game this week, Roydell was running with the first team and was getting targets. He actually looked pretty good too. "I think you're lying"Brandon Jones is the only one of those receviers besides Scaife that came down to Houston to run drills with VY during the summer if I'm not mistaken.
Seeing how much he targets Bo reminds me of every game i watched him play in college. (Didn't miss a home game)
He gets the ball to his boys. Notice Scaife didn't really come onto the radar period until VY got there. It had to be a dream come true for him since they were such good friends in college and at the time he was squared up against Ben Troupe and Erron Kinney for any shot at the ball. (Scaife was actually also really good friends with Chris Simms, and they got Best Friend Forever tatoos on their ankles)....
Vince has a little comfort zone of receivers he likes to get the ball to. I know Eric Moulds was not there for their summer training and neither was roydell. The only other WR I can think of that was there for their private practices was Sloan Thomas...but I believe he has been cut. Brandon Jones is the play here. He's the most gifted, he knows how to get to where VY wants him to be and is most on point with his timing. I'm telling you..he'll be a 6-8 TD guy. Worth a late round WR pick for sure.
I think he wanted to get one with Jeff Garcia once he got to town as well.http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headli...ts/4153409.html"I think you're lying"Brandon Jones is the only one of those receviers besides Scaife that came down to Houston to run drills with VY during the summer if I'm not mistaken.

Nothing is near correct. He's been quiet with all of two receptions in preseason. He is expected to make the team as the #5 or 6 of what is probably 6 spots. For a player that was viewed before the draft as not likely to become anything extraordinary , he's living up to that potential. Unfortunately.Nothing?bump for updates on Paul Williams. Whatever happened to David Givens? Is he still injured?
Tennessean.com article (near bottom)He was such a promising player just a few years ago. When the Titans make roster moves at the end of this week, they plan to place receiver David Givens on the physically unable to perform list because of his left knee injury. What that means is Givens won't count against the 53-man roster and the Titans will get a window after six weeks to try and bring back or place him on injured reserve for the rest of the year.
I think Mason was, but that was a very different team then as well as Mason being a different player. I think that VY does improve, but as far as someone stepping up, I won't hold my breath. Young will have to make his strides by picking his opportunities with all of the receivers, not by having one or two guys pick up their game this season as well. He will be limited by their limitations. This is not to say that B Jones and/or another young WR (I think Moulds has slipped for good) can't emerge down the road, just that for most of this season we won't see it. Brandon Jones is a good pick if you have to pick a Titan, though. Was Derrick Mason really a great WR? Someone should emerge and Vince Young should be better this season, no? I like Brandon Jones as a sneaky play that could net you about 750-800+ yds depending on how often they throw. TDs? Who knows?
