Terminator 5 - Arnold confirmed to star (1 Viewer)

I cant wait until next summer when they dig up Charlton Heston's dusty ### remains and make BEN HUR 2 with alloy-wheeled chariots with flames and turboboosters and explosions and ####. Hollywood is the best.
:lmao:

however, a lot of blame has to be put at the consumer's feet for buying the tickets to this ####.

So pirating is the best prevention?
I would prefer people just get better taste in movies, but stealing ####ty remakes and sequels instead of funding them might be a solution I guess.

I just want to see someone pry his gun from his cold dead fingers.

It will be a reboot and fresh start for the franchise. They won't be telling the same story as the other films, so it's not a remake. Like the Star Trek franchise, they will use time travel to offset/erase what happen in the original movies. Then they will make their own new fresh movies with the original characters with things happening the same or differently as the original films. So it kinda starts off as a sequel with Arnold(like old Spock in Star Trek) from the previous movies. But time travel stuff will happen erase the original movies(which causes the franchise to reboot). Which will allow them not to have to follow the events of the first four films.

As for Arnold age, Terminator do have living human skin that can age. So considering early reports say he will be sent back into time to watch over Sarah Connor as she grows up. Well we know Emilia Clarke is playing Sarah Connor and that she's no child. So if you read between the lines. It's likely we see a young CGI'ed Arnold going back in time to the 1960s to secretly watch over Sarah from a distance as she goes up. Incase Skynet tries to Terminator her before 1984. Well 15-20 years will probably pass and we will see Arnolds Terminator now showing signs of age. Then the new plot will take into effect with 20s something Sarah and Arnolds appearnced Terminator. Because it's true that Terminator don't age and Arnold Terminator will be just as young on the inside. So he will still physically be doing the same stuff and big action scenes and such. He will just look older mosty in the face.

This is what you think, or what has been confirmed?

looks as though its from a credible source.

T2 is still very watchable even today. Definitely ahead of its time.
Definitely. I give a lot of credit to James Cameron for that.
Watched it on Netflix for the first time in many years, still holds up well but 20 years later you can see some of the wear n tear.
Funny, I was just saying this. I loved that movie. And still do. But I saw it on cable a couple of weeks ago and thought, "Hmmm... I remember when these special effects looked so real. Now they kind of look cheesy." Still love it, though.

Geez, I cannot believe they are making this, and using Arnold.

Is he really that bankable still?

Why not re-boot with Jason Statham or something?

I've heard nothing but horrible reviews for this. I think I'll wait until it hits Redbox.

As a follow up to the original post, "Triplets" has been officially announced. God help us.

The Terminator series are really popcorn films that accidentally achieved something great with T2 that placed unrealistic expectations on the entire franchise.  They should have recognized the limitations and continued with the plot and actors from T3 instead of trying to be bigger.  Claire Danes and Nick Stahl was actually pretty good casting considering what we got afterwards.
