Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports that Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton required eye surgery after an “incident” that occurred early Sunday morning. Per Ganguli, Knighton sustained the injury at a Jacksonville nightclub.

[RUMOR] I am hearing that it is in fact pretty grim. He still might lose his eye and even if he keeps the eye he might still lose vision in the eye. Reports have indicated that recovery will take at least 4 months(best case scenario), but Knighton likely will miss at least a sizable part of the 2012 season and obviously it could extend much further or forever. dude that is not cool and i feel sorry for him it seems that bad luck just follows the jacksonville franchise which is not cool at all i hope he gets better and fast and that he can return to football and dominate and that whoever did this to him is brought to justice if it was an illegal act
