Texans at Jaguars (1 Viewer)

Texans came out muddle huddling. Lots of play action and screens early, then mixed in the run. Stalled out in the red zone and got a FG.

It looks like Tate is a little more involved this week, at least from the boxscore...Arian okay?

Pretty much standard usage. Tate gets 2-3 plays early-ish in a drive. Then gets another 2 or so between the 40 and 20 so Foster is fresh for the red zone. He just happened to be in on the plays that were runs.

Nice D by Jacksonville. Pressure on first pass, stopped the run on 2nd, and held AJ to a short gain on third.

Schaub with some odd mechanics on a couple of plays, side-arming the ball when pressured. Cost them at least one completion.

Jacksonville with two false starts, run for no gain and incomplete pass, and then Gabbert scambles for 5. 57 yard punt, but mighty mite Trindon Holliday returns it 35 yards.

Holliday is a heartattack waiting to happen. 35 yard return but he didnt secure that ball at all. Took the kickoff out even though he was 8-9 yards back inside.

End crashed in, no one had contain, Tate took it 26 yards.

Again, this isn't "Foster isn't being used". Tate normally comes in approaching the red zone, he just took it the distance.

Tate takes a toss outside, stiff arms 2 would be tacklers and scampers for 26 yard TD. Great run and bad tackling by Jax D.

Good thing they are keeping Foster fresh. Right now after 1st quarter Tate has more touches than him. Guess they really want him fresh.

Exactly why I hated Foster at #1 overall.

Yeah, TD being reviewed. Two steps to look at, one around the 2 and a half he comes really close, might come down to if they have a sideline view. Then he steps out a few inches from the pylon, though it looks like he's extending the ball in front of him across the line just before he puts his foot down.

Making this statement this early in the game, this early in the season, could make you look very dumb.

I hate having him, too. His 15+ rushing TDs this year won't do me any good.

Not really. I took Foster in 2 leagues. Decided to go with Rice in another, and Rodgers in a start 2QB. The only thing I don't like about Foster is Tate. Stealing carries and had to grab him to cuff early.

Great cut by Foster for the TD. Whole defense going left, he cuts right and walks right in. Foster has a mastery of this running scheme.

Jackonsville borrows from Notre Dame playbook, starts out series confused and burns timeout. Then MJD hits a nice crease for a 1st down.

Quin, you gotta block someone there. Could have been the block that would have sprung Holliday on the punt return.

Foster hit in the backfield on 1st, loss of one. Foster goes about 9 yards on dump off from Schaub. Foster losses his footing and falls down just short on 3rd.

Jax pinned on the 5, can't get any room and forced to punt. Announcers have said not a single target for Jax WR's for some reason.

Texans really haven't tried to stretch the field so far, sticking with runs and short passes, it's showing in AJ's stat line.

Foster picks up about 8 and then gets the first down on the next carry.

Yeah, I don't think Schaub has attempted a single pass over 15 yards.

Foster slices thru Jax a few times getting Hou to the 8. Checks out for Tate who bulldozes 8 yards for the TD on the next play.
