Desean Jackson's amazing last second punt return against the Giants gave the Packers the opportunity to control their own playoff destiny. If the Giants had defeated the Eagles that day the Packers would've needed help to make the playoffs.

I'd also like to thank the Lions because their week 15 overtime win at Tampa knocked them down to 8-6 at that time. Without that loss they likely finish 11-5 thus locking the Packers out of the playoffs.

So big props to Desean Jackson and the Detroit Lions!

You do realize that there are probably a 1000 different scenarios that got the Packers (or for that matter any other team) in the playoffs?

If Rodgers knew how to slide, they would have beaten the Lions and probably would have been in control of their own playoff destiny.

Sure but these two stand out since they happened at the end of the year and both were incredible. Desean's punt return was amazing and Detroit hadn't won a road game in 3 years.

Thank the ref for that ridiculous PI call on Winslow that the NFL admitted the next day was wrong.

Still, if you're a playoff team you beat the Lions at home.
