**Thanksgiving Day - Green Bay 7-3-1 at Detroit 7-4**(-2.5, 49) 1:00 (2 Viewers)

This one should be a great one.

Packers 6th in the NFL in run defense yard, tied for 4th in YPC
Lions 3rd in the NFL in rushing and 2nd in YPC

Both teams kind of rush the passer, statistically speaking, about the same. Lions with a small advantage here.

But this game is at home and the Lions are riding high off of a comeback win against the Winston-led Giants.

Lions appear to be the better overall team

However, divisional game, etc

Packers 26
Lions 24

Late FG wins it

Huge game in The NFC Norris Division
Strong Packers defense against a strong Lions offense
Not so strong Packers offense against a not so strong Lions defense
Should be a fun game to kick off Turkey Day
Home Team favored by the home field advantage
Sounds about right
Maybe the Visitors make a big play on offense
Maybe the Home Team makes a big play on defense
I'll go with the former
And say...

Green Bay- 30

Detroit- 29

1:00 get together with 49 of my favorite in-laws at a rented space where there will be no TV so I'm gonna miss most of this one
Having a 5:00 dinner however at my son's house
NFL, turkey and my 4 month old granddaughter will be a lot more fun ♥️

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I'm going on the road
49?

strength in numbers should allow you to sorta disappears for a few minutes here and there

Just make sure you only have 1 earbud in when you are watching on your phone

I'll be leading the "Cousins Walk"

I think the Lions will heavily focus on stopping the run and make Love beat them. He should have some success, but I just don't think there is enough there for him to do so. Christian Watson feels like he could be a downfield playmaker against Terrion Arnold (who looks like a 1st round bust) I do wonder if GB can keep Love clean, as Hutchinson looks fully back to his normal elite self, and the Lions will likely not pair him across from Zach Tom (GBs best OL) much.

My gut says less than 24 hours is too quick of a turnaround for the now unretired Frank Ragnow, so I do expect the Packers DL to be able to get a lot of pressure on Goff, who I think relies mostly on short passes to Amon-Ra and Gibbs. Packers are the #1 defense in the NFL at not allowing big plays, so this could be a game where the Lions have more long drives, than quick strikes.

Lions-28
Packers-21

Definitely huge game for both teams.
Lions lose and they'll have no reasonable shot at the division, and will have to fight for a playoff spot. Would likely need GB, CHI or (less likely) SF to lose 3 games.
GB's in a little better shape, but still have to face Ravens, Broncos and Bears twice, so will either soar or freefall.

Obviously, I'm hoping that the Lions come out hungry after the close call against the Giants. But down 2 starting OL and on their 4th string TE against a stout Pack defense isn't encouraging. Gut and grit their way to a victory?

Ahhhh. Here we go again. I LOVE to hate the lions and in my neck of the woods this is the biggest rivalry in the NFL, pretty one sided for the most part, but fun nonetheless. Detroit got a gift last week, here's to hoping Green Bay takes it back today.

Packers defense is on fire and Parsons is demolishing opposing lines. Double him, triple him, hold him and it doesn't seem to matter, he's going to blow up your protection. Pre Parsons Green Bay struggled to get pressure and guys like Goff could pick them apart. This is no longer the case and i think they're up Goff's *** allday and a QB that relies on timing is gonna struggle. Green Bay also exceeds against the run so we'll see if that holds up against a good lions run game.

Packers offense is a mystery to me, but Love does seem to step up on big stages and against stronger opponents. I'll bet that continues today and we see him at his best. Jacobs is back and i hope they continue to use Wilson as a one two punch. He's earned a little extra run imo.

GO PACK GO!!!!!

Packers 27
Lions 21

(Michigan guys we'll hug it out on Saturday for another big one. GO BLUE **** oSU*)

You are right, Lions winning 6 of the last 8 meetings is pretty one sided. But you guys have gone 2-2 in the last 4, so things have tightened up more recently. 🦁>🧀
Yeah, you're right recent history is a little more competitive and i don't think anybody here needs a history lesson past that. It is nice that it's actually been interesting the last 3 or 4 years. Nature is healing and it's looking like Detroit's window is about to close, but before it completely does I think we're in for a good one today. 🐱 meow ;)

Spent decades with my wife's family who never watched football. Terrible.

It's only been over the last few years I get a few more "home games" at my house where football is NEVER turned off.
