The 2011 Stevie "Styles" Johnson Hype Train (1 Viewer)

There's not much I can say about Steve that hasn't been said already, but hey. They guy absolutely blew up in his 3rd year. He has a great combo of size and speed. Fitzpatrick has already shown he loves throwing to him. I feel like Steve might be some of the best value at WR in this year's draft.

Now I know people are going to come in here and knock him for his crucial drops last year. Those things get fixed with age and maturation. I'm not worried one bit about it. I would rather have a guy that catches 80+ passes with a lot of drops than a guy who catches 100% of his 40 targets.

LETS GET IT GOING!

oh I'm on the hype train for sure. I traded away Bowe in part because I have Austin and Stevie J. to start each week in a dynasty league. Plus I'll be getting Green or Jones (AND Ingram) in the draft this year.

90/1100/10 baby here it comes!

You overrated him... I say 75/900/8

Dude I liked him a bit and drafted him, until the dreaded FBG SP thread devoted to him...now he will suck, thx.

Just know this Soup, you loving a player, does not mean their is hype or over hype.

I drafted this guy as a rookie and held on all the way until this past season, when it finally amounted to SOMETHING. Between him, Mike Wallace, and Kenny Britt, my WR corps is looking nice for the next 5 years (assuming that Britt can get his head out of his bootay)

Don't underestimate the importance of Roscoe Parrish returning. Sorry to be the hype killa!
Because if there one thing that strikes fear in the heart of AFC secondaries, it's Roscoe Parrish.Don't get me wrong, Parrish is talented, and there is no question him being out helped Johnson's opportunities. Parrish will provide a great slot option, but I don't think his return spells doom for Johnson's forecast for this year.

So I was already for a big aha argument with stats and numbers, and so I crunched them myself.Roscoe Parrish - Games 1- 9 9 games 33 Rec. 400 Yards. 2 TD: 3.6 Rec/game 44.4 yds/gameSteve Johnson - Games 1-9 9 Games 41 Rec. 554 Yards 6 TD 4.6 Rec/game 61.5 yds/gameSteve Johnson - Games 10-17 8 Games 41 Rec. 522 Yrds 4 TD 5.1 Rec/.game 65.3 yds/ gameSo in summary, Steve Johnson averaged .5 more catches a game and 4 yards more with Parrish out of the line up. Not as big a difference as I assumed.

Limited upside due to lack of size IMHO.
he's 6'2'', 200+ pounds. Not sure I agree with your statement.
is that accurate?he seemed like he was 5'10" out there...no schtick
he's listed at 6'2 202 . i would have guessed 5'11"maybe 6
exactly...any Bills homers been up close to him??He sure doesn't seem like 6'2" on the screen.
The bigger question is would you rather have him or Greg Jennings ? :banned:
