The 2022 NFL Draft Thread (1 Viewer)

Per ESPN, 6 draft picks by the Ravens in round 4 is the most picks for a single team in the first 5 rounds in the common draft era.
3rd and 4th round odds of drafting a Pro Bowl player.

Goodberry@JoeGoodberry

I think the rounds 3-4 are also interesting. Total number of players drafted in that range gave you a 7% chance to draft a Pro Bowler, how many tested vs untested? 1,461 total drafted players 102 total Pro Bowlers 94 that tested = 6.4% 8 that didn't test (3 kickers) = 0.6%

----------------------------------------------------------------

Baltimore holds 'nearly' 16% of the 4th round picks and have already made 1 in the 2nd round.

7 * 6.4 = .448% or 45% they land one Pro Bowl player

Odds they draft 1 Pro Bowl player.  FWIW I love the guy they took in the 2nd round, EDGE David Ojabo.  Hear he's ahead of schedule coming back from his injury and 'could' see the field as soon as October.

2nd round RB taken into the best RB slot in the draft isn't going in the 2nd round of fantasy drafts, guys.
Absolutely. RBs always get over-drafted in rookie drafts anyway but given his draft pedigree and the way his game fits perfectly into the best offense in the NFL, there’s no way he gets out of the first. I can see 1.05-1.07 in some leagues - that’s where Sermon started getting consideration in some leagues last year.

Seahawks have to be planing at trade for Mayfield or Garapolo, right?

or are they tanking for [insert 2023 qb name here]?

Daniel Faalele OL, MINN

Height: 6-8, Weight: 384

This is Orlando Brown Lite. Faalele is gargantuan and actually moves well relative to his size. Needs to get a touch nastier and there are lateral limitations to his game. But he blocks out the sun in pass pro and was an asset in the run game in college. (Chris Trapasso)

Kwesi can't stop trading.

I can't help but make a mental note that in prior days, I would have been totally imbibing with the Vegas crowd at ten in the morning on a Saturday. Because every day in Vegas is good for 10 A.M. drinking.

MIN trade with the #Browns: Picks 118 for 156 and future 4th

If I were a Viking fan and didn't see the previous deals made by Kwesi I would question that since it involved his NFL pals but IMHO Kwesi has done well in this draft.

A kicker in the ####### fourth? Hooo, he'd better be good.

Miami on the clock. They just got sniped at RB if they were looking there.

Yep, he better.

That pick had a lot to do with the success of the Cincinatti rookie K last year along with the strength of the AFCN kickers and poor kicking of Browns kickers.   3 kickers in the last 6 years. Made only 72.7% of FG attempts last season, worst mark in the NFL.

He's gotta strong and 'apparently' accurate leg.

York made 15 of 19 field goal tries beyond 50 yards. #Browns

Time doesn't exist in Vegas.

They pump those casinos so full of oxygen that it always feels like 8pm.

I heard that on the telecast. That bodes well, at least. Nothing like the kicker that got selected in the fifth or sixth a few yeras ago who had never even attempted a fifty yarder before they drafted him.
The kid has also made pressure kicks.

He's got a chance to be good.

Zac Jackson@AkronJackson

Cade York, the draft's best kicker

@dpbrugler

: Over the past 2 seasons, York converted 84.6% of his FG tries, including several high-tension kicks in the SEC. He also has outstanding distance with his leg, connecting on 78.9% (15-for-19) of his career FG attempts beyond 50 yds.
