The 2022 NFL Draft Thread (1 Viewer)

Tomorrow's 4th round is going to be dominated by the Ravens with 6 picks and the Browns/Patriots with 3 picks each so pretty much everyone else can sleep in.

Does this guy start over Gibson? Traded Gibson in my dynasty this off-season.
Probably not but he's likely going to get involved some. It's not a great thing for Gibson. Worst part is Robinson is a pretty good pass catcher despite being a big grinder. He's Najee with less COD but more straight line speed.

Agreed.  The problem is McKissic is still there too.  So it’ll be pretty crowded there if they all play to their abilities.

Robinson is my favorite back of those taken this round.  Potential sleeper if there are injuries above him on the depth chart.  I like the low mileage too.

Same. He probably is meant to slowly take that RB role once Gibson's contract ends.

I believe the Raiders have 3 picks in the 4th round as well.

ETA: whoops. They have 3 in the 5th.

Hard to keep track with all of the trades but 3 teams hold 15 picks in the 4th round, lol.

I guess the 'sweet spot' of the draft is the 4th round.

#Browns GM Andrew Berry said trade down from second round was made because they had a number of players graded similarly

Looking at who’s left, I think the Texans need to go OL next based on value. One more guy they love solidifies up front it would appear.

Lots of RBs left but no “wow” guys, including my guy Kyren. I could see Kyren going UDFA and having an Arian Foster-like surprise to him if he lands in the right place (Houston?)

I kinda hope Houston gambles though. We still need weapons so it’d be interesting to see them grab someone like Justyn Ross. Cooks/Collins/Metchie/Ross certainly puts them in a better position and takes pressure off of Ross from what he was “supposed to be.”

The Las Vegas Raiders pick Memphis Guard Dylan Parham at No. 90 overall. ZERO sacks allowed in 511 pass-blocking snaps in 2021

This Matt Araiza comp is ridiculous. :lmao:
Nice pull and link.

It's funny, but in all seriousness, what is the value of adding fifteen-twenty yards of field position in the NFL? It's huge. This guy should go Day Three and early. A lot of these guys will be out of the league and this guy will be booming sixty to seventy-plus with ease for years, health permitting. (And health will determine his career. I'd never let this guy tackle anybody.)

This is a weapon folks. No joke here.

Gruden would have drafted him # 1 overall lol

Per ESPN, 6 draft picks by the Ravens in round 4 is the most picks for a single team in the first 5 rounds in the common draft era.

Will they draft Matt Araiza when they have a good punter under contract? Note that the punter is usually the holder on FGs so Tucker may have some input. Some of Jason Sanders struggles in Miami last year were blamed on the new punter/holder.

There's now an entire thread devoted to Matt Araiza within which to speculate!
