Speaking of Samsung, there was an interesting reddit study a guy did a few weeks ago gauging consumer loyalty, fanboyism, satisfaction, brand image giving you warm jollies, etc. (Apple crushed that last one, btw). The obvious selection biases apply (sample was just Reddit folk)
Anyway, Apple and Nexus users rated largely the same in these feelings/behaviors (both the good and annoying) with HTC/LG/Moto/Sony scattered throughout the middle, but the interesting thing was how much Samsung users lagged behind in all these measures.
They aren't as satisfied, aren't going to recommend, aren't going to go internet fanboy about it, you name it.
It seems that's a bit a problem for Android, to have it's biggest, most well-known brands be the products consumers like the least.
