No, you get the new phone and get it activated and THEN sell.

Got it. I will probably just keep it and let my 5 year old have it since she lost the one we got her for the holidays. I know, who gets their 4 year old an ipod touch. (This guy > points to self)

my battery was fully charged yesterday morning, and by 5:00 it was dead

i spent a little bit of time in safari in the afternoon, but it was moslty in sleep mode

I assume you know to close out apps right? Open the task manager (2x home button) then press hold icons till they shake..and close them out). Otherwise I'd shut the phone down fully (Home + Sleep button held till red slider). Worst case hard reset (same as above but wait till white apple logo appears). In that order... one should fix it.

Ok, just found out the answer. If I order to have it ship, it ships on Oct 2. Or I can pick it up at an Apple store starting Sept 21. But how much of a hassle will that be?

Cant seem to find the history, but it does give you what you have done this month. I am 8 days into my billing cycle and I am at 202.83 mb. I dont know how much I use on any given month because I am unlimited but its always nice to have the option with young kids so I can stream my slingbox when Im not on wifi

you are the guy I want to talk to. I'm planning on getting the slingbox and using it frequently with the 4g but not sure if it's even worth it with the limited data. any help you can give me on how much data it uses to do slingbox per hour?

I am not 100% sure because most of the time I use it on wifi. But Ill test it out today. Ill leave it on for an hour or so and lets see what my data usage is tomorrow

With AT&T my phone is useless at home. I have zero reception and simply cannot make/receive calls/messages while at home.Also, when I order and set up a switch, do I at some point have to contact AT&T or is this done for me by Verizon?

Just because it's faster doesn't mean you'll necessarily use more data.

Most reps are really quick at switching you over. I'd go in to a store. When I did mine it took about ten minutes from me saying "I'm under contract at sprint but want an iPhone" until I walked out of the store.

If they tell you it will be there on the 21st, yes they'll have it reserved for you.And they have two seperate lines, one for reserved preorders, the other for non reserved. They're not allowed to sell your phone so you can go anytime during the day. The one time I did that, it was a piece if cake. They control the lines and people entering the store, it's not total chaos like Walmart on Black Friday. I'm gonna try and switch my home delivery to store reserve if it gets me the phone on the 21st.

Whatever gets you the phone faster. And no, there are no extra benefits to buying at Apple, they're customer service is pretty awesome, at least before Jobs died it was. Have heard that they're way more stingy nowadays. Which is also why they sell the Applecare package.

Went through Verizon site, since it still had the early delivery preorders. Yes we are porting our numbers over.

I placed my order last night at the Apple Store around 12:30am Pacific. Just let me update my shipping address now and it says 9/21 delivery.

Activate Siri and say "Update my status to ______" Select a photo on roll and look at new options for sharingetc... Passbook isn't live yet. THere is a workaround but it's a PITA. It will be live when OS6 officially launches.

Tough to tell. I've seenreports indicating 720p and 1080p resolutions. I think it depends. Either way... it's a nice sharp image and very easy to use.

Unless something has changed recently, HBO GO doesn't work on air play. It's been the #1 complaint for quite a while, although I stopped checking for it out of frustration. Maybe they finally updated?

Just FYI Airfoil is a great app for Mac Laptops/desktops that will allow you to Airplay ANYTHING. Your browser window, you name it. So it's a nice workaround for stuff like HBOtoGO

It's HSPA+ but it's plenty fast for me. Mainly use it to check email, work stuff, facebook, twitter and instagram. I was once with AT&T and see no difference in day to day usage between the two.

It uses the AT&T or T-Mobile network. I drove from Portland, OR to Columbus, OH and never had issues with coverage. Straight Talk is affiliated with Wal-Mart. straighttalk.com straighttalksim.comCheck out howardforums for how-to/more information.
