The Apple iPhone Thread (10 Viewers)

Can't think of anything besides new camera improvements that would get me excited other than new battery tech breakthroughs

Cant wait for my iphone 6 to mysteriously start acting sluggish now that a new phone is released.
Don't ever update the iOS with an older devices. Oh wait, then your apps can't update and are rendered obsolete. And your battery dies off. Get a non-iPhone? Say goodbye to group texts from iPhone users. I posted my laments with Android too to be fair, but they all play the same game. You will buy a new phone whether you like it or not...resistance is futile.

Apple released all the iPhone info on Twitter by mistake or maybe on purpose . Preorder now available 9-16

Not sure if this belongs here or not, but whatever.  Wife left her iphone5 on top of car Saturday.  Made it all the way to the highway ~1.5miles away before it finally fell off.  Amazingly, we found it an hour or so later on side of road.  Shattered screen (glass), but the phone itself still worked.  Went home, backed up all the pictures, then did a full phone backup for the first time in a year  .

Anyway, if you ever go about trying to repair the screens on one of these things yourself - get the entire touchscreen+glass kit.  Don't cheap out and just get the glass!!  Trying to get all the broken pieces of glass off the old touchscreen was a huge PITA, and I ended up breaking the damn thing anyway.  Just get the kit that comes everything - you'll just have to transplant the home button, and front facing camera.  Everything else is there and you can get it all fixed in under an hour.

Agree, they need to make a multi port lightning connector so I can charge and use my earphones simultaneously. Not sure that's technically possible.

Or like icon said two lightning ports. So dumb not to.
I am listening to podcasts on my Android phone while also charging it at my desk, virtually every day. I can't imagine not being able to do that.

I listen to podcasts every night while charging, I guess I'm headed back to Android for my next phone. My last 4 phones have been two iPhones and 2 Android, so I have no real loyalty, this just makes my decision really easy (even more so when the alternative is dealing with adapters and/or wireless headphones.

IDK...but i'm sitting at my desk with those old earbud things plugged into my phone while its charging so its not dead by the time I leave today.

I guess.....get off my lawn!!!
I don't listen to anything on  my phone at my desktop.   That's what i have a computer for.

5 hrs of play.  So basically, these will be constantly on the charger
I have another pair that's 7 I believe.  I don't think they go too much longer than that for bluetooth.

Never mind.  I see the beats cans are 40 hours.   Maybe I'm thinking the in ear design.
