The Audible LIVE! - 11/3/11 - 10PM ET (1 Viewer)

Can't get enough of this show!

I've been hit with some injuries and the bye week blues so I need to dig DEEP into the FA pool for two starting WR's this week.

I need 2 WR's out of this bunch in a non-ppr league where I am the clear underdog this week:

Greg Little

Arrelious Benn

Emmanuel Sanders

Jason Avant

David Nelson

Demaryius Thomas

Jacoby Jones

Ben Obamanu

With Newton/Stafford on bye, I need a QB this week. Should I start Matt Cassel vs. Miami, Tim Tebow vs. Oakland, or Mark Sanchez vs. Buffalo?

Every Friday when I listen to the audible podcast is like a national holiday!

Dynasty, pick your QB stash: Ryan Mallet or Matt Flynn?

What is Jared Cook's deal? He has flashed a few big plays in 2011, but this was supposed to be his coming out party w/ Britt sidelined...

How patient are Ingram owners going to have to be? The Saints are a passing team at heart with a solid duo of Brees/Payton that will likely together for the foreseeable future. What is going to change in the change season or two for Ingram to become that bellcow RB we are all projecting? Sproles slowing down, trading/releasing Thomas, Ivory? Changing their entire offensive identity?

Thanks in advance - keep up the great work with all the timely podcasts each and every week.

Trading for playoff push currently solidly in playoff position -

10-team Redraft, PPR and point per first down - 2 Rb/2WR/1TE/1 Flex RB/WR/TE - I am concerned that my early season strength at WR has peaked and won't be consistent wks 13-16. Vjax is terribly inconsistent and Welker is being played completely different. Stevie is only getting open for the short routes and the passing isn't going to get any better as we go into late fall - playoff weeks have 3 of the four weeks @ Buff. Jones is a question mark post-hammy.

I think SJax may be at his peak trade value - I am thinking about packaging him and one of the non-Welker wideouts targeting a Jennings/Megatron/Smith...

Thoughts on Sjax's value and my current WR value?

My team:

QB

Newton, Cam CAR QB

Romo, Tony DAL QB

RB

Foster, Arian HOU RB

Helu, Roy WAS RB

Ingram, Mark NOS RB

Jackson, Fred BUF RB

Jackson, Steven STL RB

Ringer, Javon TEN RB

Tate, Ben HOU RB

WR

Breaston, Steve KCC WR

Jackson, Vincent SDC WR

Johnson, Steve BUF WR

Jones, Julio ATL WR

Welker, Wes NEP WR

TE

Daniels, Owen HOU TE

Davis, Fred WAS TE

Austin Collie... ON THE WAIVER WIRE... PPR league... I know the Colts suck, but damn I need some points out of my flex!

Love him? Hate him? Whatcha got?

FBG first year subscriber and loving it! Awesome show guys! Best fantasy football info out there (both free and paid content)! Keep up the good work! I have two quick hitters for you:

1. When loading up on back up RBs (as Bloom suggests) towards the end of the season do you suggest first adding your handcuffs before going for the homerun guys like T. Jones, K. Hunter, D. Lewis, etc?

2. Tawain Jones, Helu, Maurice Morris, Silent G (I'm a Hillis owner), K. Hunter, Brinkley, DJ Ware, DeRel Scott...Can you rank them going forward for the rest of THIS season with the news on the injury front concerning Bradshaw, Mathews and DMC? 10 team non ppr, redraft league here.

A simple question for you gentlemen this week:

What was your best ever fantasy season and why? I have two of my main dynasty teams that are currently 8-0 and not showing any signs of slowing down. Have you ever had a perfect season?

And Cec, go easy on the Jeremiah Weed... although drunk Lammey a couple of weeks back was #######' hilarious!

Great show as always, fellas. Have a great night!

Guys, I just want to give kudos to you for fully investing me in the "rent-a-defense" concept. It's really been effective for me this year across all of my leagues. Last night I added up all the points that I've scored this year and was really delighted to see that my overall team defense score was more than the "#1 defense" in the league overall. It's also great having piece of mind not ever having to worry about rostering two defenses because my "stud defense" is playing Tom Brady in a particular week. Thanks again.

Heading into week 9 now. What do you do with a strong team (6-2, 7-1, 8-0) range to prepare for the Fantasy Football playoffs? I always seem to start building for the favorable matchups too early in my leagues and the time playoffs come my team is nose diving.

What advice other then Matchups should be looked at when preparing for the Fantasy playoffs?

thanks once again guys

Howdy fellas

After trading Eli/DWill for SJax this week, Im stuck with 2 difficult decisions. Now that I have more RB depth, Im stuck having to decide who to start in the flex after SJax and Murray as my RB3: Mendenhall vs BAL, Pierre Thomas vs TB, Battle vs MIA. Leaning towards Pierre as last week felt like an aberration for NO's running game, but its hard for me to bench Mendy with as good as the offense has been playing and wanting payback for week 1. I could start 2 of them if youd would advise that, but then Id have to bench Manningham and I dont think thats the right play.........Sidenote, have yinz guys warmed up to Jackie Battle yet as a low-end RB2 yet? :D

Problem 2, I like my trade for SJax but with Stafford on a bye, Im stuck starting Travis Jackson at DAL (although I could drop him instead for Alex Smith or Painter as my 1 week fill-in)...Please talk me off the ledge and make starting Jackson sound somewhat appealing.

Thanks

Some trade deadlines coming up, I have a dynasty team or two that I'm rebuilding, wouldn't mind just hearing some general dynasty buy low guys that you may be targeting.

BIg week nine is here and I got my squad to 6-2 and one more win pretty much gets me into the Big Boy Games in December.

50/50 league 12 teams

Looks like I have to play Freeman cause Hasselbeck will suck and Bradford is wobbly

Who would you put at the WR2 spot guys?

1. Jordy (all or nothing) Nelson

2. James (all or nothing) Jones

3. Brandon (8 points is my ceiling) Marshall

Tyler Durden in Fight Club said "Only after disaster can we be resurected"

He was perhaps a Mendenhall owner?

Great show as always guys...simple question in a PPR dynasty league would you trade Mendenhall straight up for Kenny Britt ? Who has more value from next year on ?

Thanks!

Hey guys, as always loving the show and appreciate you answering questions from here. Has this season finally put the nail in the coffin of drafting 2 RBs in the first 2 rounds, given the number of underperformers and injured guys drafted that early? What are other draft myths that deserved to be buried now that we have half a season of perspective?

I have a MUST WIN this week and suffering through byes and injuries. Must decide on my RB2 between Jackie Battle or LeGarette Blount. On the positive side for Blount is the prime matchup versus the Saints weak run D and little competition for touches with Graham out. But, he is coming off a knee injury and I am not confident about the TB offense overall. On the other hand KC is looking like they have some momentum building on offense, but Battle has Thomas Jones and McCluster there as elements to contend with for touches. So I am leaning heavily toward Blount this week. What are your thoughts on this week and the outlook for both the rest of the year? Who do you like better short term and long term?

Thanks guys!!

Is there realistically a chance Ringer could earn the full-time role in Tennessee or is holding him for the fantasy playoffs just wishful thinking?

Also, do you have any faith in Beanie to finish out the season, with the Cardinals out of contention for the division? Is he a sell for whatever you can get (within reason)?

 Hey Guys, Who's the better Dynasty stash: Shane Vareen, Ryan Williams, Da'Rel Scott, Jonathan Baldwin, Demaryius Thomas? Pick one RB and one WR or the best 2. Short bench but don't need the points this season at 2-6  Thanks, love the showBB

more please. especially how the broncos WR corp is going forward.

the continuing saga of andre johnson.

why does Flacco suck so bad aka how Torry smith could've had a 2 td 140 yard day last week.

Does Kevin Kolb Hear the sound of the wreckin' ball BOOM and POUND :boxing:

PPR, what do you think of Jon Baldwin? Would you start him over a "meh" WR like Tampa Mike Williams?

Edit to add: motorboat

Hello fellas,

Julio Jones.

That name inspire any confidence right now? I love his matchup at Indy, but if he's not ready, he's not ready. How much of a confidence play is he? I start 3, and my other possible starters are MWTB, DJAX, and Crabtree. Who is the odd man out in this lineup? Redraft PPR.

Thanks! Great show.

Hey guys,

10 team PPR redraft

17 roster spots

Starters 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, PK, TD

QB - Cam Newton, Tony Romo

RB - Arian Foster, Fred Jackson, Steven Jackson, Felix Jones, Willis McGahee, CJ Spiller

WR - Mike Wallace, Hakeem Nicks, AJ Green, Michael Crabtree, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Greg Little

TE - Jermichael Finley

PK - Mason Crosby

TD - Rent-A-Defense

I find myself tied for first at 6-2 and feel pretty comfortable that I will make the playoffs with my team as is (basically having 6 starting RB/WR for 5 positions). With the bye weeks coming to an end I am looking to start stashing players for the my playoff run. Should my priority be to stash RBs even in a PPR league (i.e. look to trade/drop some of my WR depth) or is a more balanced approach needed? In particular I am thinking dropping Greg Little (haven't gotten much interest for a trade) for Kevin Faulk, Taiwan Jones, or Dion Lewis. Any thoughts on who to pick up and whether it is worth it to drop Heyward-Bey and maybe Crabtree to maximize the RB stash?

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work.

Waiver wire question, can pickup one of these. I am 7-1 just need either a good backup RB or Backup QB.

Options:

Tavaris Jackson, Sam Bradford, Michael Bush, McGahee

Roster:

QB - Ben, Stafford, ASmith (start 2)

RB - Mccoy, Beanie, PThomas, Ridley

Just traded Jahvid Best for Peyton Hillis. Hillis the better gamble? Is it so crazy that w/ all the trash being talked about Peytin Hillis, he comes back with a vengeance to prove the doubters wrong?

Munchak is trying to play coy with the RB situation, but I could certainly see Ringer emerge over CJ2YPC. I understand why Munchak is giving us the whole 'hot hand' talk, but simply put Ringer is looking much better with his touches. He's built to be a grinder if the team wants to (380 carries senior year at Michigan State). This reminds me of John Fox saying 'hot hand' earlier with the Broncos when it was completely evident McGahee>>>>>Moreno. Johnson looks like he doesn't care anymore. He lacks any fight and seems willing to go down on first contact. I'd deal Beanie, not loving the negative momentum from the Cardinals offense. Get what you can for him.

Best potential here is Ryan Williams at RB and Demaryius Thomas at WR. Unlike Mikel LeShoure  Williams will be coming back from your standard knee injury. He's explosive and a big play runner who can take over a game. Injuries are a concern after injury plagued junior season (hamstring) and missing 1st year in pros. jThink of Demaryius Thomas catching passes from Andrew Luck, Matt Barkley, or Landry Jones. It's a good vision! The Broncos are likely to move on from Tim Tebow, and even if he shows improvement they will still bring in a QB this offseason. Both Orton and Quinn are not under contract next year. Only Tebow and Adam Weber will be with the team. they'll draft a guy or they'll add a free agent like Matt Flynn or Josh Johnson. Passing game in Denver will look much better next year and Thomas has better physical upside than Baldwin.

Give me Julio, DJax, and Crabby here. Julio could have a monster day. Not only Indy but Sam Baker injury means the Falcons are going quicker routes, shorter passes, fewer deep shots to Roddy. More from Tony G and Julio on three step drops quick slants and out routes.

I'd drop Little for Taiwan Jones. I have no confidence in the Browns offense. I'd hold on DHB, see how things work out with Palmer. Crabby is a hold for me if your other options are Faulk or Lewis.

You need to add McGahee here. PThomas value clouded when Ingram back, Ivory active. Ridley value hampered by Faulk activation. McGahee in fantasy playoffs faces Bears, Patriots, Bills. The best option for you there

You made the right move here. I love Best but these concussion problems could hold him back for the rest of his career. Hillis is the closest to returning to the field and with all the naysayers he'll want to prove them wrong. also, could be showcasing his talent for another team since it doesn't look like he's getting a new contract.

How does the signing of Houshmanzadeh affect Demarious Moore's production in redraft leagues. Any insight into what OAK receivers are gelling with Palmer?
It will be interesting to see how Palmer plays after the Raiders bye week. I'll give him a pass for the KC game as he clearly wasn't ready to see the field. He'll likely avoid Champ Bailey and look to pick on guys like Andre Goodman, Chris Harris, and Jonathan Wilhite. This could mean Kevin Boss on underneath routes (Broncos LBs struggle to cover) and Denarius Moore one on one. Jacoby Ford was a frequent target in this week one matchup and could be once again.

Props to Sigmund Bloom for the outstanding rendition of Sweet Freedom on the Week 9 Preview Show (Part 2).

(6:05 from start.)

I still remember watching MTV in 1986. They ran that video every 27 minutes for about four months there. Absolutely brutal.

But, as they say, anything to make Cecil giggle.

If I had a few hours to spare, I'd run clips of Cecil's giggles together. (That'd surely make Cecil giggle.)
